Over in puna we have to be real careful of rat lung on the greens. It's it not as bad in OV?

Mahalo. No idea. We wash the vegetables a minimum of 3 times.

You ever step on a slug and then try to wash your foot off? You have to scrub for awhile. In other words, there is no such thing as effectively washing slug trails off your leafy vegetables. The only ways to safely kill rat lungworm is to freeze it or cook it. For that reason I don’t eat raw leafy greens anymore. I cook everything now.
