Office Add-ins - Getting Started - Hello World code sample

In this 8-minute Developer-focused demo, David Chesnut delivers a bare bones add-ins sample, actually 4 samples - Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel, to help developers see clearly the fundamental composition of an Office Add-in. Each Hello World sample has a manifest and an HTML file. These samples may be run from the Repo or from local host. The presenter methodically steps through the code pointing out slight differences in methods used for each app to deliver the “iconic “Hello World” greeting. This PnP Community demo is taken from the Office Add-ins community call - October 2021, recorded on October 13, 2021.

I know it might sound a silly question, but are addins developed this way available also on the standalone desktop version of ms office or only 365? In my company we don't have ms office 365 so it would be un useful ib my use case

the addins works in other versions of ms office (win desktop version and mac too). Is similar when you install add-ins by the store in word or excel. I did a video to explain this technology but is in spanish, i hope help you kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3_JYnmIZtetfqc

Sorry! Can i do a question? I need to do a Word Add in of my App. I need that the Word Add in connect with my api that is in NET 7.0 , but always when i create a new project of Word Add in is in NET FRAMEWORK, so my question is can i create a new Word Web Add in project in NET 7 or I have to connect with my API with HTTP and use in NET FRAMEWORK? All the time. We also use IPhones or Android devices as it's important that our products and services work properly in any device or browser. Nothing wrong to use Chrome - it's a great browser option to use.
