It’s funny because Americans always do either a posh London accent or a cockney London accent and British people always do either a valley girl California accent or a random southern accent lol

Also some actually English actors sound kind of like what Conan sounded like. They get upset if it isn’t exact but clearly it’s in the ballpark of what they sound like. I mean their versions of country and New Yorker accents sound very often to me sound worse than Americans sound doing theirs. Some English actors who train a while or know Americans do better but there are videos of English actors continually struggling with the New Yorker and even I think midwestern accent which is the easiest one really. They can do it for a few sentences and struggle often beyond that.

I'm actually really good at accents. I understand the different dialects from the various US, UK, Aussie, Kiwi, to even Japan, China, Korea, and on. There are many I can't, Philippine, my Russian is one dimensional. My Greek is pathetic. I don't know any languages outside of English other than basic Spanish. Which is why I can do that hilariously. Spanglish lol.

No, it's usually random Southern or random Eastern. I'm a Linguistics degree-holder and nothing sounds worse to my ears than an English person putting on a fake "American accent". With their exaggerated hard r's... But that's why it's such a treasure when we find a British actor who can do American accents.

Yeah the English would typically have been insulted right off and start firing back with well at least we don’t sound like this and then do a radically more nasally version than the Midwestern accent would normally sound like. Americans should have more of that unapologetic attitude she had about AC/DC with the English. Like not apologizing just yeah we say it correctly and you don’t which the more words you look into you’ll find that to be the case.

We do NOT have Burger King lol We call it Burger King when referring to a Burger King in another Country. But in Australia, when Burger King tried to move to Australia, there was already a business here with the registered name Burger King. So they set up here as Hungry Jacks. And they are huge, like McDonald's and KFC, they are just Hungry Jack's here. As far as I know, the original company here called Burger King, no longer exists, but Hungry Jack's is what we know it as, so they never changed over to Burger King!

In the US the east coast talks much faster and to the point. The Midwest like Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago also talk faster and more nasally. The south talk very slowly and have twang in their voice or a drawl. The west has that upwards inflection that Dave was talking about and are a bit slower too but no twang, more the surfer dude you hear in movies. But I’d agree the east coast accents are still more influenced by European ancestry.

But I agree with what Daz said at the start. Also, us Aussies grow up with a mix of American, British and Aussie TV and Movies. We can do accents of others. But it is extremely rare that anyone can do a good Aussie accent that is not Australian. But this was a great reaction guys. Cheers!

Even among the innumerable, watery lagers available all over the world, with plenty being produced by my fellow countrymen here in 'Murica, Foster's is particularly poor, I must say. And I no longer drink, but having managed to try ~2,000 different brews, I do believe that my overall favorites tended to be sours followed closely by stouts, two categories brimming with not only variety, but lots of barrel aged options as well.
