Every American sports has commercial breaks. That's why there's no ads on jerseys (They're coming though unfortunately). If you ever attend a live sporting event in the US you'd be able to tell when commercials were running on TV.

Yes the "Elvis, Obama, was the QB calling out plays, adjustments or protections -( how the linemen will block) . These words are like codes so only your team knows what they mean. This is done on every play . The coach calls it in to the QB and then on the field the QB relays it to the other player. The defense is doing the same. The fans know this and get extra loud in key situations (like 3rd down or goal line) to disrupt communication of the opposing team.

Philip Rivers (on the Chargers) was whiny and especially had a temper, but let's take a moment to say that he has the 5th all-time TD passes in NFL history, right behind Peyton Manning, Brees, Brady, and Brett Favre, and did so on a mediocre team. He threw a lot of interceptions as well, though. Edit: He also played in the AFC Championship game with a torn ACL. In other words; he played with a season-ending injury. He was a hardass, even if he appeared whiny.
@civichoo6017
@civichoo6017 3 жыл бұрын
The crazy thing is, is that Rivers probably could’ve passed Manning and Farve in touchdowns and passing yards if he didn’t sit behind Drew Brees for 2 years when Brees was still on the Chargers. 2 years is a lot of time. As for interceptions, Rivers actually has less career interceptions than Brees, Manning, and Favre. Rivers was totally underrated because he never made it to the Super Bowl.
@HamburgerHelperDeath
@HamburgerHelperDeath 2 жыл бұрын
@@civichoo6017 Manning had 118 more TD’s than Rivers. Rivers averaged 28 TD’s a year. That’s 4.2 years worth of TD’s. Yards he was about 2 years off of Peyton. Peyton did lose 1 year to a neck injury.

As a lifelong Chiefs fan, I can confirm Philip Rivers is one of the most obnoxiously whiny players I've had the displeasure of watching. The Cleveland Browns started wearing brown because it was harder to see who had the ball - it blended into the jerseys. The game's changed a lot since then, and it's not much of an advantage anymore.

uh, no, incorrect. The team was named the BROWNS after their first coach and manager PAUL BROWN, When Coach Paul Brown was visiting Bowling Green State University, he admired their colors on their uniforms, which was brown and orange...that's how the Browns got their colors. I am a lifetime, devoted Browns' fan (born and raised in Cleveland and lived here most of my life (I am 75). Even though I am a Browns' fan, I DON'T like our colors. Teams have just recently in the past couple of years begin putting logos on jerseys. I'm very familiar with the NBA, and they were the first of the 4 major leagues to put logo ads on their jerseys. It's a single logo on the left or right shoulder. I believe most teams plan for additional logo ads as well. I dread it personally as I despise most advertising, but I can't deny the financial benefit to the teams.

Aaaah:....you have touched on a thing concerning adverts... look at Univ Ala football uniforms. You will see Nike logos.admitted, bit more discreet than soccer uniforms, but there nonetheless. We are a VERY commercial place! 🤓

The sponsors are the brand of athletic wear they use, but it's usually displayed very small like an inch by half of an inch dimensions

They do have branding on their apparel and equipment, it's the branding and logos of the equipment and apparel manufacturers. It may look understated, but supplying all the teams for free gets them the only advertising space on the uniforms, helmets and shoes. League rules are very specific about what players are allowed to wear because of this. It's much the same in other sports.
