Watching this and thinking about the Airman that answered his door with a gun in his hand after a possible domestic call.
@CrizzyEyes4 ай бұрын
that incident is mostly due to the complete breakdown of trust in our society. the airman answered the door with a gun because he believed he might be getting robbed by a cop impersonator. bad decision by the way, he should not have opened the door at all if that was his fear. the cop dodged the peephole, exacerbating the airman's suspicion, because he believed he might be randomly shot through the door. the landlady called the cops because "it's gotten worse" despite the fact that she told the cop that she heard a "slap" last time she heard arguing and, for some reason, did not call cops at that point. it could have been avoided by any of the parties involved stopping to talk to each other at any point in time, except the landlady and the cop

There's not much to breakdown. Guy answers door. Pistol pointed down at his side. Non-aggressive. Gets shot. This is a pretty clear case of civil rights violation and likely a homicide charge for the officer. Lesson to learn: Do NOT open your door to officers or grant them access to your property without a search warrant.

Maybe the first question on all domestic cases from the 911 operator should be are there any weapons in the house such as guns knives Etc. Had the cop known there were guns in the house he may have approached this differently.
@adamheywood1135 ай бұрын
It's not in this video but the 911 call was published. 911 ops asked the teenage caller whether there were any weapons, the teenager explicitly said there weren't.

That is impressive. My fastest draw time with a USPSA set up. Ghost p+ Holster, etc… is .85 seconds. He had a head start with his hand on the gun but that is still fast. Also very impressed with his remedial action. Tap, rack back in the game. He obviously trains.

Gun nuts have a bad habit of making their weapons an extension of their personalities. That's why you see so many guns in the hands of undeserving people, and the way that it's proven so difficult to regulate is a significant enough reason why private gun ownership is prohibited in most nations outside the U.S. But unsurprisingly too many 2A fanatics pride themselves on this right, which they're actually more uniquely privileged to than they even realize, that they've lost all respect for what guns were actually made for and their personal responsibility to not misuse it.

Is it weird of me, that every time one of these videos shows the inside of a suspects house, I always take notice of how they decorate and place furniture and that I compare it to my own? The decor and layout is often not too bad for individuals that are usually in the middle of making the poorest of decisions.
