The strap is very thick to withstand the weight of the plates, not every one will releather their replicas so they designed it to last

@@ceezthaday this thing is what 9-12 pounds I have belts that are as heavy if nor heavier the plates look great but the straps WWE & AEW use just suck and are basically cardboard

The AEW World Heavyweight Championship looks amazing and I do want one. But there are things that need to be fixed. The strap for instance it looks like plastic instead of leather. Maybe if you buy it maybe have to give it some time but still not cool And I know for a fact I'm not the only one who's not fond of that. Also I don't like the fact that a name plates that only give us the names of ones who've had the championship like Chris Jericho, CM Punk & Jon Moxley. Why can't they give us personalized name plates where you can put names of your choosing. Like WWE does their replica belts and their name plates. You can put your own name or other AEW wrestlers who've never even had the AEW World Championship like one of the Hardy Brotherz, Sting , Bryan Danielson or Samoa Joe. Or even the names of wrestlers who've never even been in AEW either from WWE or TNA and the names of the deceased legendary wrestlers. Either way they need to make these changes but I still want it it's still looks cool.

I'm not paying that much for anything with exposed bolts. Leather the backing when you make the TNT replica & we can talk. Oh & the strap is waaaay too stiff I'd rather get a knock off with nice floppy leather for half the price.

I can deal with slightly less thickness to the plates & a few minor differences when it's less than half the price. I wouldn't mind paying close to the 1k if they wouldn't skimp on the few things that really matter. I shouldn't have to pay a extra $300 to get it releathed when it's already over a thousand dollars.
