I’ve done barre blend one time through and am on my second round. I can’t believe my results. My body looks better than it ever has and I’ve done a lot of beach body workouts. I’m 41 and a working mommy.

Wow wow wow this was an amazing workout. As a former ballet dancer that is recovering from both an ankle and knee injury I was so grateful I was able to do this workout. I did the modified versions of everything and was still sweating like crazy. Definitely going to try this whole series. I also love the amount of focus involved because it makes the workout go by very fast.

As a Pilates and Barre instructor I like this except for the curtsy lunges, they can be dangerous for knees.

I would think the curtsy lunges are your least worry. Ballet is not a natural thing for our bodies. The turn out itself is not the best. We all still do it though and love it. 🤷♀️

Is this video true to the program, or much changed because it's a promo? I have experience with barre workouts and I was considering this program. But this video lacked an emphasis on proper alignment, including turnout (eg, during the side kicks, is the foot meant to face up or forward -- each position works a different part of the glutes), pelvis position (tuck vs natural tilt), and there was no instruction from Elise on which muscles to isolate and ensure that knee/hip joints weren't doing the work. I see a lot of potential for injury or just not getting the full benefits of a barre class -- just the cardio benefit. I would still be interested in other classes if those important details are included. Can anyone attest to whether the program differs from this promo in that regard? Otherwise I would stick with a more traditional barre program and supplement with cardio elsewhere.

This is more of a promo. Any time you see a sample workout of one coming out on Beachbody on Demand it's a promo to introduce you to the trainer and some of what you'll be seeing. In the actual program there are great verbal cues to proper form and also modifications

Beautiful setting, production & choice of students & teacher. It reminds me of the 90's classes and DVD's, and though I am not sure this is original... I love integrating Ballet into my creation of Natural Yogylates; and I also love the different levels included. I believe in the power of progressions and modifications. I want this, I hope it's on DVD and not just Beachbody on demand! I've actually been looking for a workout program similar to Piyo in that it's creative, flowy, graceful, has more artistic moves rather than blunt ones, and intensely targets the muscles. Can anyone tell me if this will be offered as a DVD program? Again, I really hope so!!

Thanks for the reply. That really sucks. I hate how things are getting less and less tangible. Very annoying of Beach Body to me, but they have a tendency to be annoying such as with all their ads--I highly doubt all of the trainers believe in shakeology and their other supplements that much lol, forcing them to push it all the time takes away from the authenticity.

S S it makes more sense financially for you for it to be on BOD. The DVD’s used to run $50-60 or more each.. BOD is all programs past and future for $99 a year. Totally worth it!

Way too fast for a beginner, even with the modifier. I would not consider this as a beginners workout like it’s classified as on BBOD. Awesome workout just way faster than I think it should be for a beginner if you try to follow the tempo like the trainer recommends.

Ok the workout is alright, but there is not enough warm-up, not enough stretching. The teacher is talking non stop promoting her fab workouts, but doesn t even tell you how to breathe, which muscle group each move targets, how many reps etc. Plus everything is run way to quickly, you don t even have time to properly feel them cause of how fast it is, you end up just throwing your legs up. Plus annoying music on top of all that blabber. I ve been working out at home for more than 6 yrs now and honestly this didn t convince me to buy it :) I much more prefer FB workouts by miles for how friendly they are to each level of fitness. Just my opinion :)

@@juliaanderson6155 There are other programs ( over 6,000 workouts in total on Beachbody On Demand) including Yoga and many other styles. I have hundreds of clients in there 50's and 60's doing them as well. If none of those work, a good daily walk or biking is a great option !

There was literally nothing I liked about this video. The workout was weak. Maybe it's the intro and you tried to fit too much in without a focus on anything. I would not do this workout again. I also couldn't stand Elise. She came off really fake and silly. Rainbows aren't your move and those aren't called skull crushers. I was hopeful, but just really disappointed. Major fail.
