R. Lee Ermey is awsome. I love that old guy. He was most likely a Drill Instructor during the time when Soldiers were trained to be Soldiers and if you didn't like what your DI said you either got a Boot in the ass literally or taken out back of the barracks and literally whipped. It was called Corporal Punishment. Soldiers had a lot more respect for there DI in those days. Those days when if you had a personal problem with your DI it was solved in private out of sight from the Upper Brass and no complaints or grievance paperwork was filed. It was settled like a man. That's when a soldier was a soldier.
