This is a beautifully and cleverly shot intro for the theme of the season. The David’s are deliberately shot to seem smaller and/or endearing. They generally have shots with sweeter expressions, seem to be looking down in hard work or as they endure elements, or in Nick’s case, looking up in hope and determination. They look like a small tribe trying their best to survive, they have to jump to great heights. The goliaths are more deliberately shot to look big and powerful. They’re the only ones who ever get to stare at the camera head on. We see them either smiling happily/with confidence, have serious or calculating expressions, some look downright intimidating, they do the challenges with ease and the elements don’t seem to bother them as much. They run straight ahead fully prepared and strong. It’s cleverly shot and edited together to hammer home the story of David vs Goliath.

CBS wanted to have a little more airtime, so they cut the intros ever since 26. I could care less about that extra minute of baloney. Give me the intro every time. I don't care if it's Micronesia theme or not. Plus, Landau left anyways. So, we may be in for no intros for a long time, if ever.

i think its meant to represent the whole DvG theme, like, how the davids are all awkward and weird (using scene shots that look a bit funky or weird like Gabbi's or Jessica's, while showing the Goliaths in greatness, like how alot of theirs have war make up or are during challenges, while except for a few of them, the davids are almost all doing camp life things like chopping wood or opening coconuts)

Ok so… This intro is idk. I actually like the feel and aesthetic of the intro, idk what it is but some part of it makes me like it. Some shots like Alec’s wide shot was absolute garbage, but the new way that they use the side face shots is nice tbh. The music was reused so I think we all know what my opinion on that is. But it’s good in general, some parts fail, but some parts are really good
