Can the screws fit in any hole that you place them into, or do they need to go back exactly where they came from, I know from the iPhone you have screws that are bigger and smaller, so you have to place them exactly where they came from. Thanks

Is it required to use an adhesive to replace the the rear cameras,Earpiece Speaker, Vibrator (basically any component taken directly from the housing)? 2. There is a small circuit board that is at the base of the G3 to the left of the headphone jack how would u suggest removing it?

You can do your best to salvage the LCD and Touch screen but it may get damaged in the removal process. Use your heat gun and work around the unit slowly.

puzzerella ive been having the exact same problem. Im pretty sure youve damged the lcd (the thing directly behind the glass) which sucks because im under the impression that that part is one of the most expensive parts. If you find an easy fix, let me know.

In my situation it wont. Ive ordered a new lcd+screen and I'll let you know how that works out. BTW, I have T Mobile and JUMP insurance, but they're still being dicks because I caused the damage.

Good video, totally helped me. Though after it was all assembled did I see that the metal screen protecting the ear speaker at the top of the LCD did not get moved from the old to the new - and it wasn't noted to do so in the video. Since it took me 2 hours to do the replacement (my first and I was a bit scared), I"m going to live dangerously and go without. But I recommend you note that in an updated video ... or somehow else. Dealing with the adhesive strips is a hassle, especially the skinny sides. But I'm able to remove extra after complete install. I'm glad I ordered the adhesive strips because they were advertised as 'extra' but in fact the replacement comes with none. But yes - good video otherwise.

I actually didn't know what it was, but the small little board had adhesive on the backside. I just carefully pulled it off, and placed it into the new frame. I've replaced screens before and it was no easy task--- However this was insanely easy replacing my cracked screen. I will refer anyone who needs it to you guys!

+shapi27 Your digitizer is most likely compromised/damaged. At times this can happen without no visible damages. You would want an LCD and Touch screen assembly.

***** there wasn't any inconvenience. I just waned to point it out for others. I would also recommend paying close attention to aligning the adhesive properly. I may have cut a piece incorrectly or something because my screen just barely bumps out about a millimeter in one of the corners. Otherwise, thank you for the product and the video. You're awesome.

+cam lee The adhesive should not have presented any issues for you. Try resetting the device to see if this helps. You can also double check your flex cables to ensure they are seated properly.

Yes, the most common issue is the adhesive used. Weather to little or the adhesive was not good quality. Use a heat source and hold the location where you see the most light bleed down and see if this helps. Otherwise you will need additional adhesive.

It can occur but we do our best to avoid this issue when repairing the device.

Hi there. I'm a bit confused on what exactly I'm supposed to be buying for my lg g3. I dropped it the other day and it ended up getting a deep cracked spot right on top of where it shows the time(the time while on lock screen) The cracks are spread out around the crack/hole thing like a spider web and there's also cracks that seem to be under the glass that go all the way down almost to the bottom of the screen and they go all the way to the top as well. The whole top of the screen doesn't work and the only numbers that it will let me press on the lock screen are 2,7,9,0 and 5. It can't be unlocked at all. What exactly should I be buying to fix this problem? Thank you!

My Lg G 3´s screen fades/flickers away then after a few min. it comes back to life, but only for a short while...And it heats up quickly as well..What´s your opinion on this issue?

It sounds like there could be a short. Has the phone been previously repaired? Has it been wet?

I've fixed my uncle's G3 by putting 1 mini sim that cutted to the same size as the CPU and put thermal paste in it. then i put a mini simcard on the metal thing under the camera. and last, i've putted a thick paper on the camera connector. then, force close the back of the G3 and force screwing it. Then, you're done.

+Irma Gonzalez Double check your flex cable to ensure it's seated properly. If the issue continues, it's possible your LCD is defective.

+Thomas Ballard It's possible that if the tape over the LCD ribbon wasn't replaced or if it was misaligned, that the LCD ribbon is being shorted.

i got the screen, looked a little sketchy but it worked. i fixed it and it worked beautifully. today i put it innocently on my clarinet case and the screen cracks moments later. the touch works its just now i have a crap ton of lines on the right side of my screen and cant see anything but ROYGBV and black lines on that side . 80 dollars wasted tbh. the shipping went to unecessary areas when i tracked the package. this was a waste of time it feels like. idk this may just be anger but im just a wee bit irritated.

Lg g3 is worst phone iv ever owned. Broke 2 screens in 2 weeks just from being in pocket . Very breakable screen with 0 flex

Not true, IMO. I had it for 3 years with no issues, dropped it several times and it was perfectly fine (no protection whatsoever, btw). It cracked when i leaned on my car's door, with all my weight, trying to get something from the passenger seat (the phone was on my front pocket, so i literally used it as a fulcrum point). I thik any phone would have cracked in that situation.

+Daniel Carroll They would all use the same phillips head screws but it's possible they may be stripped. You may need to apply some pressure and turn slowly to try and remove them slowly.
