Cowboys news on the defensive coordinator search. After some freakout over whether or not the Cowboys would close the deal with Mike Zimmer, they’ve now officially agreed to terms on a deal. Zimmer was the Cowboys top DC candidate and not finishing the deal would have been a disaster.

This paying a player more than the previous one is really getting ridiculous. Resetting the market every single time someone gets signed is getting out of hand. You have all that money tied up in like three players and you can't build a team. It takes a team to win, not three players. That's why you put the tag on him or let him test Free agency. A lot of teams don't have a lot of cap space and you might end up paying him what you originally offered instead of trying to reset the markets
