I remember geeking out about it with my friends at school, talking about the mods, one of them saying that they were illegal to download, and we'd come up with ideas for mods that we wanted to make, and making comics of Herobrine. I remember playing the demo game, and being so excited, and then I'd play the web version of classic when that was over, and then minecraft tower defense when I wanted something different. I remember telling my sisters to play the demo, but they were focused on playing flash games. I remember begging my mom to let me get the game, and trying to convince her that the zombies weren't bad, or something. Loading up the game for the first time, using a laptop and the trackpad. And then time speeds up, downloading the Tale of Kingdoms mod, and mo creatures, watching CaptainSparkles' hunger games, watching SkyDoesMinecraft play prison break and review mods, watching the rise of DayZ in the background, and downloading a minecraft mod of DayZ, playing on the MineZ server on the ShotBow Network, discovering Tekkit, finding Tinkers Construct and Fossil Archaeology, finding IHasCupquake and watching her Oasis series, watching The Haunting series from old school RejectedShotgun, listening to Minecraft parodies. All these things of the past man. Those were the days.
