i liked TMP and i like how they still work on it as well as expanding it, I used it for years. It never felt as lonely. But. Where i drive according to the rules, Just doing simulation driving, Meaning i stop for traffic lights, Give way to those who have the right of way. Didn't go over 85 on most highways where the limit was 80, Doing 90 where the limit was 90. Being careful in corners. A lot of people, Just fly around you, Cut you off, Curse at you for nothing, Push you off the road just because you're not going as fast as so many others. And all that in a (simulation) server. That just ruined it too many times. I even had a moment where i was coming up behind a friend of mine who was sitting at a red light, Right as i pulled up, 3 cars flew around me with 1 of them jumping in between me and the guy in front of me leading to me having to hit the brakes as hard as i could just so i wouldn't slam into them. I gave them 1 short honk, And they proceed to block me, Hold my hostage there, For damn near half an hour. Just because they cut me off and i had the nerve to give 1 short honk. This all played on the simulation servers. Not even the arcade one. And the moderators did absolutely nothing about it, Which honestly made it even worse. I never felt like i had proper protection from those people even though i played exactly how the rules of TMP said i should play. There for, I just drive alone in single player, And once a week i drive with a friend of mine in Convoy. But i'm never, NEVER, turning back to TMP.

Yah TMP is a massive mess when it comes to people and moderators, they should make all trucks non-collide similar to microsoft flight sim so people who dont want to wait for others, stay behind etc would not ruin other people's experience by ramming, blocking.

i once remember some cars blocking a whole road and they were like dont let anyone in and when i tried to come they followed me and started pushing me and even got like 75% dmg sadly i didnt know that it had command /fix and i had to pay for the repairs

I don't know if it was available when this video released but Convoy mode pretty much supports any mod now. This + no trolls + having AI traffic is a huge advantage in my eyes. I still drive on TruckersMP but convoy mode has gotten a lot better since it's initial release and is still the way to go if you wanna play with friends

A decently compiled video showcasing the differences. I too wish people would just respect what both offer, and choose accordingly. The dozens of comments against TMP are primarily from a loud minority. The people who happily play on both do not voice themselves in this way. Having such freedom to choose has never been done before, yet people still feel there can only be one. Just because "Convoy" showed more things in your summary, doesn't mean TMP has less, for example. It'll always be amusing to see the comments of certain people. 😉

If you want to mald: play tmp. If you want to have a good time: official mp is the best way. Official has mods, traffic, tons of lobbies to choose, no speed limit option, easy to understand delivery copy system and NO RULES (just don't be a dick in a public lobby). Tmp has (almost) no mods, idiot admins, idiot truckers, 110km/h limit (because of those idiots), confusing delivery copy system, almost no traffic (having only trucks as traffic is dumb as fuck, i don't count 2% of admin cars and other small shit) and no way to have fun. The first time i tried to play on a sim server the FIRST TRUCKER i've encountered was a troll in a place where i saw NO OTHER DRIVERS for 30 MINUTES. For some people official convoy lags after a bit of time (1-2 hours), but you either need to restart the game or get a better pc. Doesn't come close to massive fps drops on TMP based on the ammount of players in one place like Calais where those idiots go to just to experience pain of waiting for 1 or more hours.

M8, you forgot to look at the stability. Convoy - alnost no lag, except with 7 or 8 people due to 7 or 8 unique trucks present. SCS are working on it; TMP - very laggy servers, after 1.40 SCS update. Unplayable with more than 20 people around you in 1.41.

idk if it is just my ram, but when there is like 60-80 players in one city (usually calais) the game gets so laggy to the point where it is unplayable.

To me it depends on what game, and if you want to play with random people or not. IMO, I like TMP better, despite it being wild at times, as well as the trolls. The trolls sometimes even give us moments to look back and have a laugh at. Great video :)

As much as I have loved TruckersMP and continue to play it, I can see the official multiplayer becoming a lot more popular in the future. Right now it is in the baby stages where SCS are doing some trial and error, seeing where things suit the players and what not yet already I see TruckersMP losing a huge chunk of their community / playerbase due to this. Mostly, those are players who have been banned by the admins or players who are sick and tired of the idiots in game and want to play privately with their friends so the official multiplayer would be more ideal for them. Do remember however, TruckersMP were created "Illegally" by someone who "Illegally" obtained the source code from ETS at the time. And their staff teams just aren't fit for purpose what so ever, it isn't a dig at all of the staff members yet there are some who just shouldn't be where they are.

Convoy vs TMP here is how they stack up 1. 0:12 Convoy is for truckers who get invited to a session or you can join one you don't get forced into a session and You make the rules and SCS enforces them. With TMP the admins make the rules and you are forced into a session you can not get out of, no invites, and the admins are fascist. 2. 0:43 On Convoy your personal data is secure and if you leave the session automatically ends for those you invite but can be restarted when you log back in. In Convoy sessions are locked with Passwords to protect privacy. In Convoy rules are set by the creator of the session and SCS and you will never get banned or ranked. In Convoy it is built in no installations, endorsements, or third party mods are installed as dependencies. Convoy automatically updates the moment you log out of the game no need to download patches from third parties. Convoy has AI traffic and the flow is constant. Convoy does not allow trolling so you will not have SCS Forms or Discord popups with a troll insulting you in chat. Convoy has a quick reply screen and you can share jobs no need to pick out jobs you don't want. Convey has a built in map no need to download mod maps. You can change the time and weather no need to install a mod or use consul commands and you can also teleport without consul commands. In Convoy you can set the speed and damage and if you get damaged you have to drive to a shop. In TMP your personal data is in the open and anyone on the server can ban you with an IP lock and hack you and steal your stuff, in TMP they make the rules and you can get banned for violating them sometimes for no reason and they judge people by their web and Discord rank according to their IP address which is a breach of privacy and illegal, in TMP you have to download patches from their website, SCS forms, or Modland and you have to donate cryptic currency to their chat rooms to support the mod which is also illegal, you have to install mod maps as dependencies which will slow down your internet and takes longer to install leading to in game crashes, in TMP there is no AI traffic just players so the streets are empty and the map is poor quality, TMP allows trolling and bullying and allows foreign hackers on their site and you can get discord and SCS Forms popups which are annoying, TMP has no quick reply you have to be logged into SCS forms or Discord to use their service, Jobs are not shared they are picked by the host and some drivers don't like them, TMP's map uses Promods and third party maps off of mod sites so they always crash, Time and day can not be changed without consul commands and you need to install mods to change the server, you can not teleport the admins can move your truck to jobs you can't, and in TMP if you get damaged your truck is reset to what it was before you wrecked and you can get banned to pay the damage fee. 3. 3:30 In Convoy the limit is 8 until SCS sets up dedicated servers in TMP the limit is 400 per-game because it is a massive mod. and in TMP mods are supported while in Convoy and on the SCS servers they are illegal. 4. 3:43 in the polls and on social media Convoy wins every time with 84 votes and TMP gets negative reviews and their users get banned on social media for being toxic. The final verdict is Convoy is the future and TMP is trying to compete with SCS but they won't succeed SCS is doing updates but in TMP their future is grim.

Also on TMP you get the alternating vehicles to drive chosen by the community :) like ether cars, or the bus. plus patrons get an extra vehicle for TMP so another Pro there for TMP.

I bet the players who will write the end of the TruckersMP are the ones who are currently permanently banned! The time has finally come for them to get their revenge. Everyone knows very well that the 4 million registered users is not a real statistic, as many people register new accounts to continue trolling. These players will behave no differently in Official multiplayer. It's true that there will be fewer players in TruckersMP, but maybe that's for the best. There will be less trolls on TruckersMP, but in the official multiplayer they will not make much sense, because in the best case they will get banned immediately. Currently there is not much difference between the two multiplayer and will be until mod support arrives. By then, TruckersMP should have created something great, which I have full confidence in. Mwl4 is doing a fantastic job.

I have only two profiles in ATS, one I utilize as personal, and one I utilize in the limited multiplay aka convoy mode. Official MP just came out, and its not yet fully released, only part of it. There will be also Mod support. If i had the choice between something nicer, less people (and also less idiots!) then I for sure choose Official MP. If i wanna drive like and idiot, and drive with idiots, lagg all over the place and feel like I play with kids, I definately go to Truckers MP. And, among other things, already because of AI Traffic alone I prefer Official MP. Truckers MP has successfully collected all the idiots and kids out there, playing it like they dont know what its about. And I thought Truck Sim is about, you know, simulating more or less truck driving. Where is a couple hundred idiots driving like in Flatout, getting into that direction of simulating truck driving ? Truckers MP might have been better, if they would have offered Server files, so people can do their own servers. Like there are many games, where mods afterwards created a missing "official" Multiplayer, and those for the most offered the Server files to everyone. That would make the whole experience much more enjoyable, and would remove the annoying idiots factor in Truckers MP. But no, they had to keep it for themselves, and thought "You know what, we make a Multiplayer Mod for a game that doesnt have one officially, and since that is not experimental enough (Player Sync!!!), we make only a handful servers and keep them for hundreds of people. That'll make things running smooth." I am not saying everyone in Truckers MP drives like an idiot, or is even older than 10 maybe, but the amount of those compared to the rest I am afraid is far less. I rather play with less people, and then people I know, than 200 people and of those are for sure 50 complete and utter ..... Thats just my opinion.

años en TMP prefiero el mp oficial, y aun mas cuando se puedan implementar mods. TMP lo veo imcompleto sin trafico o mods. Tambien los moderadores son corruptos y yo no he tenido sancion pero viendo sanciones a jugadores injustas he llegado a esa determinacion. He desinstalado TMP. Tambien he desintalado truckbook por la cantidad de trampas/trucos que se pueden hacer sin ser detectados por mucho que digan sus moderadores que los detectan (mentira). Son unos prepotentes (truckbook) sobre todo morello con sus contestaciones y su infinita sabiduria jajajaja, y lucia nicole que en realidad no es una chica, es una cuenta secuestrada desde hace mucho por su expareja ( hay pruebas que poseen varias personas que conozco y me han mostrado por que no lo crei), y asi muchas cosas, por lo tanto tambien desinstale todos los clientes de registro y solo trabajo con world of trucks que no hay posibilidad de trampa. Bueno esperemos que pronto se puedan implantar mapas y demas mods en el mp oficial asi como mas cantidad de jugadores para que sea atractivo para todas las personas. Saludos
