100% clinches will happen but Lomachenko can play dirty and nasty too. He will use everything in his arsenal to make this as painful as possible for Devon. Lomachenko will notify the ref of the obligatory clinch work by Devon and that after that it will start to get nasty. He will use the top of his skull into the chin of Devin with arms up and pull GGG technique, if it gets worse, he will use elbows to the jaw. He's not going to play nice.

@@BernhardBernard You are 100%, if this was a previous lightweight fight between Loma and Haney years ago Haney would get away with more clinching. This time, it's kill or be killed for Lomachenko, he's going to get nasty on the inside.

I think holding will be a big part of Haneys game plan, clinching loma when he closes the distance and making him reset. I expect the clinches from Haney will progressively become more and more frequent as the fight gets into the later rounds. I also expect him to spam the jab on the outside and try to slow down the pace of the fight, Loma should be able to find counters, I think a good punch for Loma to use early is the straight left to the body off Haneys jab, I would also expect him to feint to the body and throw to the head once Haney begins reacting to his feints.

Very well assessed indeed you are 100% correct with foreseeing that. Haney will exceedingly hold as the rounds build up. This is for all the marbles though, Lomachenko is going to pull out all the stops himself, he's got some dirty tactics inside as well he will used if Devon wants to make this fight ugly and clinch. Haney will hold and that will slow the tempo, but Vasyl has a good way of notifying the Ref that holding needs to be reprimanded. You are right, Devon has a good rhythm to his jab and forces most people into fighting at his pace and range. However with Soviet Pendulum it is the greatest style invented to counter sharp American jabs. The in and out motion is either timed well by some American Philly Shell/Conventional fighters or it becomes hypnotizing to most. I can guarantee that Haney has never seen a Soviet Pendulum at the level of Lomachenko's pace, quickness, and timing. It's going to eventually hypnotize him and drain him mentally and physically. Yes you are right, one of Lomachenko's best timed moves is feints to the body or chin and then a (pull counter). He sets everybody up off the jab pull counter, Mayweather was great at that technique but Vasyl's is done off the pendulum. If the baited feints aren't taken by Devon Lomachenko will find a way to eventually open him up by the 8th with right hooks to the body followed up level changes upstairs to the jaw. He always solidifies that technique and catches everybody with it.

Agreed, Loma is truly a special talent, the haters won't appreciate him until he's long gone from the game. There has never really been anybody like him in boxing, Usyk is the closest. I'd be amazed if Vasyl made Devon quit on the stool, but he sure is gonna shut up the haters with his win. I can't wait to watch him fight, he's going to give it his all!

I’m personally siding with Loma for these reasons Haney vs Loma thoughts Haney has so many flaws people aren’t even taking into consideration - Flat footed - Slaps with his hooks - He has his chin in the air & that’s why he got chin checked by Jojo Diaz - He’s not as fast paced of a fighter as people think - He let flat footed & stationary Jojo Diaz walk him down & land the straight left consistently ( he out-landed Diaz by only 20+ punches ) - He doesn’t have elite footwork & he doesn’t throw enough combos From what we’ve seen in the Diaz fight he doesn’t do as well against Southpaw fighters either so unless the two Kambozo fights & this camp has changed him and he’s decided he’s going to switch it up i have Loma by a close UD or SD. no one’s looking at Ortiz’ ability to judge this fight with Haney. Ortiz is a good skilful fighter with enough ability to give anyone problems Ortiz has better footwork than haney and is way more co-ordinated. He has more answers when he’s in trouble ( for example inside game against Loma he actually threw back, Haney doesn’t have inside game he just clinches excessively which is actually illegal if not initiated by both fighters which many don’t actually realise ) Ortiz throws punches in bunches, he double hooks, triple jabs and did thinks that broke Loma’s stance. We haven’t seen Haney do any of that & Kambosos had terrible defence and his chin in the air for 12rounds against Haney 2 times lol. I think a lot of people are going to be shocked because Loma has great footwork but the holes in his footwork only come out on the back-foot and I don’t see Haney risking pressuring Loma & being countered. He’ll stay on the back-foot & that’s an issue because Loma is comfortable on the front foot. He doesn’t have the power to intimidate Lomachenko either. We’ll see what happens but like I said i’m leaning to Loma for a UD or SD. I doubt Loma stops Haney due to size etc. Also, on Lomachenko’s half how is Haney going to deal with Lomachenko consistently moving his head & finding different head slots to keep himself from being hit on-top of the fact Loma blocks a ton of punches. How will he react to the footwork and inside game? Once Loma gets in on the jab which he will, Jojo Diaz had it figured out by round 4.. how will Haney react to Loma’s 2-1? It’s by far more accurate and technically sound than Jojo Diaz’ straight left. Lomachenko’s rhythm is another thing Haney hasn’t seen. Loma is very good at resetting and getting straight back to work after being pushed on the back-foot & finding an angle to get back inside and go to work and he showed that in the Ortiz fight. I have a lot of questions on how the fight will go. This is just me analysing it based on the Loma vs Ortiz ( young as haney, just as fast, just as skilled ) & Haney vs Diaz ( another southpaw who had success with the left hand which Loma also throws ) It’ll be a good fight nonetheless.

Great question, 3 years ago I would say 100% Fury, today 100% Usyk is taking that Win. Boxers with slow feet are punching bags for Fury, boxers with fast Feet are incredibly problematic for Fury. Watch the Christian Hammer, Otto Wallin, and Tom Shawrz fights. Fury ultimately beat these guys but they also showed openings in Fury's defense and rhythm. None of those boxers are even a quarter of the talent, stamina, and Ring IQ Usyk has. Fury's fighting attributes relies on jab and move. (stick and move over and over) Usyk has the fastest feet pretty much ever seen at Boxing Heavyweight history.

It's in my video where I clearly stated why he lost. Shoulder injury is blatantly obvious. In over 400 fights Lomachenko has never not thrown a punch for 6 rounds. I mean..... how is that not obvious to people to see he was clearly fighting injured? Did you notice when he then actually started to throw punches, what happened? Pretty obvious man and people don't want to admit it. They propped Teofimo up on this pedestal cause of his natural athleticism.

@@jahkoz i thought the reason Loma wasn't throwing 1st 6 rounds was bc he was feeling it out and waiting for safe entry bc dangerous puncher, and yes once Loma picked it up he was owning lopez but also got hit pretty hard, he picked it up prob bc he knew its that or a loss, and idk what post fight excuses to believe bc seemingly after almost every fight the loser has an excuse. If loma's shoulder was so damaged howd he pick it up and do just fine 2nd half of fight

It hurts pretty bad and only a very few percentage of athletes can get through that, let alone prevail and win a fight. Teofimo is a big puncher but he is nothing out of the ordinary man skill wise, he's just another Philly Shell style American fighter. Lomachenko was absolutely destroying him rounds 8-11. No punch ever truly hurts Lomachenko, its very very difficult to hit him flush. He has had pretty much the best +/- in all of boxing for years straight.

He ducked Haney? Really? So Devin becomes Lomas mando after Luke Campbell fight while in camp for Santiago. Then after that he had shoulder surgery and was in camp for Gamboa which happened just after Loma lost to Teo.. So how was Haney ever going to fight Lomachenko? He hadn’t fought any names or done anything in boxing yet and was sat talking about how “Loma to small to old” on Twitter and now three years later is upset people are calling Loma old.
