It's great that you finally showed us something that no-one else has ever done as far as I know - what the last Prophet-5 serial number was - #6427. That's not as many Prophet-5s made as I thought. I used to think it was about 7000.

This one is so much fun. True vintage joy - but without all these issues that comes with it (ex. Prophet 5 has to warm up 20-30 minutes before its really playable).

@@8dioproductions No. P5 is playable right after turn on. Of course for better tuning you can wait 20 minutes. But detuning is part of beauty of this synthesizer which isn't possible to capture thru samples. But anyway. Great job on sampling P5!

Excellent question. It really depends on what action you prefer. The X is a bit lighter like a traditional keyboard - and the XL is semi-weighted, so excellent for more expressive type of playing ala piano. You can adjust the velocity curves too - to make them more or less responsive.

Def not true that it doesn’t have pads… actually has a ton of them. I have the XL … the problem is there is no sound editor on board that allows you to access each individual sound quickly. There are however third party sound editors

@@8dioproductions Thanks! have you tried Unison detuning any of these samples? Prophet-X so far has introduced Thumps on any more than 4 voice unison and moderate Detune. Not fixed so far in last update. Wasn't sure if it's the synth or the content? It may be that all samples are reset at 0. If your samples have sustain length then can randomize starts.

Yes they do the same thing. I have Kontakt and MachFive3 (Falcon predecessor). I love them but .... something about using my mouse for sound design makes me restless and impatient. Makes me feel like I just want "the dumb sound already". I think a push would help with that. Obviously, the PX addresses the issue at a premium but, its not just about the music...Its also about your sound, and your inspiration. Its like buying any old MK 18 clone vs a DD MK18 (Tornado)...they both get the job done...but one makes you feel special. LOL
