I've met Mad Professor quite a few times in the past, He mixed a tune that i did with UK Apache i think 1991, an excellent Dub mixer and Producer, very prolific amongst the top Reggae Producers in the UK, The Ariwa Sound is another unique sound that is distinct on any tune you play recorded from there. I wish i had recorded an album back in the day there, id be extra proud lol Big up and max respect Mad Professor

Two things I take from this interview: 1) Mad Professor failed to mention the great Macka B when asked what artists he has worked with. I really hope that he just forgot and they did not have a falling out as I respect the work both of them have done for reggae music. 2) Mad Professor basically confirmed what I have said for years, Reggae is not promoted properly by the powers that be on a global scale yet pop artists have massive marketing behind them and some make crap music that you will forget 6 months after being released. Reggae is treated like a 2nd class music by powerful music executives yet people all over the world love it. Some reggae artists who were nominated or who won Grammys would confirm not being treated like their RnB/ Rap counterparts. Not hating just telling the truth.
