He very much kept it well hidden from her. - it only came to light that he was married when he accidentally let it slip during an interview. Didn't take long for the press to reveal it, and that's how the woman he dated found out. I believe he also has a kid too, so that was devastating for her. So...yeah, I guess it is consensual when you're unaware of what was really going on.
