This song has such a conflicting vibe with the anime but the lyrics make it like this song was made for the anime. So perfectly in sync with the characters and their story! But why is Jpop so underrated with such bangers?
When first impressions on the song were that it wasn't suited for Moriarty the Patriot anime due to it being 'upbeat' but when finally seeing the lyrics it's definitely suited. Thank you for this absolutely amazing song!
@AhsokaJackson4 жыл бұрын
I know! I had the same sort of experience with it! And the interesting thing is that the upbeat aura not only suits how the lyrics talk about the siblings' bond and their hopes for the future, it also becomes unsettling towards the end of the sequence when you see the ruined surroundings and the increasingly sinister aura around Albert and especially William. (Plus how Louis looks distressed and maybe regretful.) It's like the persistently playing cheerful song matches the fact that the older two are still continuing in their plans and either can't see or are refusing to acknowledge the troubles occurring.
@andreabayeta2764 жыл бұрын
@@AhsokaJackson It talks about their ideals but also mirror reality well and how far a person's actions will go towards achieving their ambition or goal. Especially when up to date with the manga, the song hits harder than ever😭
@AhsokaJackson4 жыл бұрын
@@andreabayeta276 Mm, I really look forward to seeing all of that play out! For now I'm doing the same thing as with Jujutsu Kaisen-letting the anime be my first experience of the storyline, and then reading the chapters that correspond to the episodes. So I'm not caught up with the latest chapters and won't be for a while. (And thank you for being conscientious enough to not just blurt out spoilers, ha!) Though it seems like the manga is underrated much like the show itself, so still looking for a decent translation source for it. In any case, I'm already seeing themes in the show that remind me a lot of Attack on Titan, a very beloved series for me: Those questions of how far a person will and should go to achieve various goals, and that concept of sacrificing your soul and humanity for a greater good, and whether or not that idea is really what it's cracked up to be. I do slightly dread watching things progress because of all the tragic undertones I already get, but it's also too good not to continue, and on multiple levels it's a fascinating show to watch. ^^ It also makes me want to revisit the Sherlock stories I currently have in my digital library, except I know the anime is revisiting some of the same material (I recognized the profession-guessing game), so I should probably hold off. 😁

@@AhsokaJackson As far as I know, Viz Media is translating the manga officially for English but fan translations are pretty slow.
@AhsokaJackson4 жыл бұрын
@@aznmochibunny Thank you for the info! I checked the iBooks and they only have the first volume, for 7 USD. Probably gonna check Amazon or Kindle next if the stuff with Viz doesn't pan out. And so far I just keep seeing the same fan translation being used on different sites. I can deal with spelling and grammatical errors to some extent, but when stuff starts affecting the actual meaning, that's really a problem. 😓
This song reflects a lot the characters and ideas of Moriarty Brothers, ALBERT, WILLIAM and LOUIS ! I really like this and even translated it to our mother language!
@shiroiokami52463 жыл бұрын
This song is sooo good, but yet I can't help but think the chosen visuals of Albert, William and Louis painting a "new world" on the walls represents all their crimes. You're not supposed to end up with this much paint on your face when you're painting. It's just like they murdered people and the paint was their blood. When they look at their finished painting they're proud of the new world they created but they're soaked in paint, due to all the people they had to kill to achieve this goal. Finally when they're under the rain, only William smiles at us. It surely means he was planning all of that from the beginning. Louis and Albert are looking down as if they're following William blindlessly. The only thing I haven't understood yet is why they are under the rain.

Excellent post, although Albert was smiling in the rain too. The rain could represent the washing away of their “crimes” or how they covered up how they killed everyone in the fire. I guess it’s up to you.
@shiroiokami52463 жыл бұрын
@@PrinceJayMoriarty Yeah ! It's a very good idea I agree with you If this rain means how they covered up their crimes it follows perfectly the scene before where they're soaked in paint. Just like if they cleaned their outfits to look guiltless after all this bloodshed. We could also link this idea to the way they're suddenly portrayed as adults. They're just children in the scene before, because they believed recklessly in their ideals, and here they became adults aware of all the gruesome actions they had to take to achieve their goals

@@shiroiokami5246 One more thing I can think of is how the rain is washing their facade that they had put on and showing their true intentions and faces. Their smiles as children portrays their innocence that they show to outside world, while them soaked in rain with their complicated expressions show how they are truly from inside.

To be honest, seeing the anime first made me think that William is fully sociopathic, but I read the manga and saw that he's more sociopathic in the anime than in the manga itself. He's more expressive and sentimental on the latter especially on their childhood resolve as to 'Killing evil to wash them out'. In conclusion, I love the anime more hahahaha.

This is just my imaginary theory about this song and ending scene when I listen to this song. In ending scene 3 brothers were drawing beautiful scenery with lot of colors and their hands and faces were also covered in those paints. Now, in my eyes, those buckets of paints are blood of people they killed in order to build their estimated desired society. Even though it seems beautiful paint in our eyes and brothers, it may hold different meaning. In order to reach their fantasy they'd gladly take on brush(weapon) and paint till they reach it...
