♥ Take a close look at each of their faces during the clapping. I love how Avi, Kirstie, Scott, and Mitch are concentrating so hard on what they're doing and Kevin's face is chill, like y'all are in my house now. All this beat-keeping and clapping is just another day at the office for Kevin.

@@davidphillips4476 🤣Now that you've noticed it, it's all you'll see whenever you watch the video. It's a cappella karma for all the times they made Kev sing in a five part harmony. Even though he has the voice of an angel, he'd much rather beatbox than sing.

There was a behind the scenes that said Scott had the hardest time with the hand claps. They also did a tutorial for anyone who wanted to learn it.

Actually it's about friends growing into teens and choosing different paths. Some chose the life of gangs and crime while the composer did not. He said he threw lines that sounded good in there for the heck of it and it's open to interpretation. Robin Pecknold wrote the song about friends he had from first grade through high school. I love your reactions. They are always good for at least one chuckle "Mr. Carpenter" 😎

The song being about french revolution turns out to be an urban legend, Fleet Foxes said in an interview it's just a collection of nostalgic childhood feels on the playground 😋

I read that Robin Pecknold wrote this about friends growing up together and growing apart. He also mentions "Michael", his brother who passed away, it doesn't say how. But, from the lyrics.....Michael you fell and turned the snow red like strawberries in the summertime, I don't think I want to know!!! Great reaction by the way!

Yes this can be done in one take because even with Matt they perform this live on their concert They have a virtual concert coming up that is free all you have to do is sign up for the ticket and you can watch them do this it was amazing when I saw them last month

I think this one is about someone walking their dogs in the deep snow, when Michael (child/dog?) falls into the snow. The idea is simple yet touching, but the synchronized percussion is jaw-dropping.

I always enjoy your comments and reactions, but let me help you out a bit... 1. It's Avi..."Ahh" VI !! 2. Yes they did practice the hand movements and they actually put out a video as a tutorial on how they learned it ...which is cool and interesting (Scott had the hardest time learning it) 3. They are totally creative on all their arrangements...that's what makes them musical "geniuses" Have you reacted to their "Carol of the Bells"....sensational !!

I absolutely love this charming little song (and vid)! There’s a hilarious clip of them learning the choreo. I’ve heard this song is about the French Revolution but others suggest otherwise. Either way I still love their performance. Thank you!

nah, more likely Avi. thats why we rarely saw him during the big group numbers on the sing-off too - he was hiding in the back to get out of doing the choreo. scott's nemesis is rememering lyrics ;)

I agree there is NO way this was one take. Why? Because Scott and Mitch are sitting next to each other. And anyone who has ever seen a Superfruit Video’s BTS knows those two are goofballs! That’s Christmas to Me is fantastic. It’s an original, and contains video of each of them as kids.

This song is not a christmas song. Fleet Foxes’ “White Winter Hymnal” (2008) Lyrics Meaning BY JESSICA SHELTON · DECEMBER 4, 2019 First off it should be noted that Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold, the sole writer of “White Winter Hymnal”, has stated that its lyrics are “fairly meaningless”. And his goal was just to write a song that the band can jam to and serve as the opening number on their debut album. Yet he has also stated that there is a storyline contained therein. So the way these seemingly contradictory statements can be interpreted is that some of lyrics have an intended meaning. Others, on the other hand, were just added because they sound cool. And for the most part, we’re going to focus on Robin’s explanation of the narrative in the song. The term “following the pack” alludes to a time in the singer’s youth when he regularly hung out with a group of his peers, indeed the same collection of friends year-in and year-out. However, as time progressed they went their separate ways - and not in a good way. For example, some became drug dealers and other types of unsavory characters. And this sudden transformation of his buddies, like “Michael”, perturbed the singer. He didn’t understand how suddenly keeping up with gang culture, if you will, became more important than their long-standing friendships. But again, that interpretation is based primarily on Robin’s own explanation of this song. That is to say the listener him or herself would be hard-pressed to derive such a complex meaning from the terse and even childlike nature of the lyrics. However, if one were to listen carefully, it can be seen that when Michael falls into “the white snow”, it then turns “red as strawberries in the summertime”. So that would logically symbolize that he is in fact bleeding. However, it is obviously not meant to be taken that Michael has actually been murdered, as he is a real-life buddy of Pecknold’s who it would appear is very much alive and kicking. Conclusion So conclusively, as the writer of “White Winter Hymnal” has alluded to, this song is a case of the lyrics preceding the meaning as opposed to vice versa. And given their overall ambiguity, they could logically be interpreted in different ways. However, there is definitely symbolism of some sort of an ominous development from an initially harmless viewpoint. When you said a very famous Carpenter, I assume you didn't mean Karen (Carpenter lol) Carpenters have beautiful Christmas songs BTW. "Merry Christmas, Darling" "Christmas Song" "Have yourself a merry little Christmas" just to name a few. I LOVE Ptx but I've been a Carpenters fan since around 1973. (Yeah, I'm old. Lol)
