Glad to know I'm not the only one who does this! My friends and I have a habit of deep diving on ps1 demo discs whenever a new game is about to release. Like when it's 4 days off from elden ring or something and you don't want to start a new game you know you won't finish on time, we must have been through dozens of demo discs in moments like that over the years. Definitely going back for the rest of the playlist, not sure how I've missed it all this time

What a fantastic concept for a video I'm surprised more people never took advantage of. This also works well today because more and more people are looking for long form gaming videos.

It is worth noting that in the Whacked! trailer, the character Lucy is shown to have the same bouncy physics as all the other characters in the game, but in the final release, it is not present, and it only applies to Lucy. (For example, when characters get flattened in the game, they spring back up in a squash and stretch manner, but when Lucy springs back up when flattened, she completely snaps back to a normal position without squash and stretch, it is very jarring that this only applies to her)

Very interesting to see that for the Halo Commentary they are talking over footage from one of the betas. Got to see some unique stuff that was altered for the final game.

@@campxbox really, I usually hate these type of walk-throughs. I regularly go through the discs on KZbin playlists without any commentary due to people just ranting, making bad faith criticism, being egotistical etc when they do talk over these but this was a genuinely enjoyable/content transformative experience, and seeing the demos as well was a nice addition as they are normally not part of the uploaded discs playlists that separate out the videos around KZbin. 👍🏻

awesome video, love 'em demo discs! Also that song you used for the Blinx trailer is really good, what is it from? Is it from the music you make?

That's actually Deja Vu Canals from Blinx. It's such a good song!

Thats wild. I feel like we got none of what was shown in the Crimson Skies demo reel. The final game is quite different to what's shown. It still looks pretty alpha. Look at 6:43 and you can see a floating pink cube.

Love the video! I noticed for the Halo dev commentary at 36:28 the video seems to be out of sync with the audio. This wasn't the case earlier in the dev video. Then at the end of the commentary they seemed to have gotten cut off 37:01. Is this a problem with the demo disc itself or your video?
@campxbox21 сағат бұрын
I looked into it and it seems that is how it is on my disc and isn't an editing error. I'm not sure if it's just my disc or is an overall issue.
