I recently discovered a real way to get outside the map in ER:LC... Not going to reveal how this is done, because it will get patched most likely because people will start using it all the time. Hope you can understand this :D

Btw, I tested the ''hiding on top of water tower'' one, and it is actually true. If you are on the Firefighter / EMS team, and you use a ladder truck + the ladder tool, it is indeed possible to get on top of the water tower (but only JUST about)

Also, you can get on top of most of the buildings in the game by using the ladder truck and ladder tool (including the crane, one of the tallest buildings in the RC area, the building next to RC Parking Garage, Jewelry Store, Gun Store (you dont actually need any ladders for this one), Bank, Car Repair Shop, Tool Store, Police Station, and more)!
