This is always the first song I tend to listen to when the holidays roll around. It's so cheery and upbeat it reminds me of when I was a kid and being dragged around town while my mom holiday shopped. I remember always being in awe at all the holiday decorations in the mall and how many people filled up all the stores. Then you'd finish shopping and walk outside, and it was actually freezing (not warmer like it is now), and the air smelt so clean. Everything was so exciting then. Good times indeed.

We always have this tradition of putting up the tree on thanksgiving, and we had this one CD of a compilation of Christmas songs, and this was the first song on that CD. We would always put on that CD, so this was always the first Christmas song I heard for the year. This song will always be special to me because it reminds me of being a kid being so excited fir the Christmas season and putting up the tree

For some strange reason, I had to put this song on today. It's not because it's "Christmas In July". It's because things are getting on my nerves today. It's warm outside and I have my windows and doors opened. All I can hear are annoying motorized power tools going all around me. And at times I hear people going by talking loudly. I really miss that "wonderful time of year". I miss it being cooler and I miss not having to hear all of the noises like I do now. For some strange reason it seems like people, in general, act less intelligent when it's much warmer. I don't know why that is. On the other hand, I remember seeing some commercials with this song in the background as there's chaos going on preparing for Christmas. I got a kick out of it.

The entire album was a staple in our household growing up during the holidays. It's a perfect blend of festive songs on one side and the other side has traditional spiritual songs about the Nativity, etc. Andy is my all time favorite crooner.
