As I settle in to the twilight of my years, I thank the Lord for patiently waiting for me to come to him. Divorce and illness took me to a very dark place. But the Lord is true to his word. He will give us the power to overcome illness, regret, anger, selfishness, addictive behavior (pizza and chocolate). Cardiologist is amazed that an arterial blockage is reduced by 33%. My A1C is now at prediabetes levels. The Lord is the ultimate healer. Do not hesitate to come to him with your burdens. He will see you through. He may not answer your prayers fast enough to suit you, because He works on his own timeline. But if you submit to him, which can be very hard to do, He will forge you into something new. As I listen to Carlene singing His praises, It takes me back to living in Jamaica in the 90s. There was the most beautiful place I have ever seen off the beaten path. A fish farm in the parish of St. Mary, surrounded by lush green limestone hills jutting abruptly out of the landscape. It reminded me so much of Vietnam. When I go home to be with the Lord, I hope to be in a place like that with a fishing pole, a hungry basd, and this tune perpetually praising Him. Peace be with you.

I must say this is one woman I would love to meet.😪😪 I remember her but she wasn't singing for the Lord at that time. I had never seen her because we never had television as a child but my dad let us listen her music on the radio now I got to see who we were listening to at about 8 years old before I migrated. I am in shocked to see that she looks so young and it was so long ago. It's nice to see her giving back to the Lord. Memories that last for a lifetime.
