Great video. I recommend it to my SRC and LRC students. In addition, I hope that small crafts and pleasure boats are going to be considered in the next vesrion of GMDSS. Not only SOLAS vessels, but also all ships from big tanker to sailing dinghy. ITU made the recommendations for all, now the IMO should also take care of their needs. Just as these remarkable people of the Coast Guard. High respect and many thanks.

Wonderfully nostalgic, of a time when we had both a coastguard station and a helicopter at Portland, when EPIRBS were promptly responded to, when coastguard computer systems worked and stations were adequately staffed. Sadly no more.
