I actually think this is a rather clever idea if you can get past feeling like the truck doesn't represent your personality. You can park in a lot of places with a truck with Penske, Ryder or U-Haul on the side, that people with converted Mercedes and Sprinter vans will get harassed for. The only possible downside I can envision is that you may get a thief hoping to steal something out of an unattended rental van.

My mom used to drive big rigs and do deliveries for auto stores and talks about it all the time. I've only rode with her in normal trucks and cars and holy shit if she drove those big rigs like she drives normal size vehicles I wonder how many people are dead. This woman had wrecked at least 3 vehicles including my last truck, though that one wasn't her fault. But I had to rip her phone out of her hand while she was driving because for some unknown reason she wanted to look for soup recipes driving. My dad as driven less than my mom in terms of types of vehicles and distance but he's wrecked more, mainly from being stupid like trying to go 160 around a corner in a Firebird, but I trust him more as a driver even when he sits there and plays with a balisong or scratch tickets driving
