I remember when I first heard this song. It was me and my high school classmate, at a park, smoking weed (as per usual) and he put on this song. I used to be a huge Trap fan (I'd have more than 100GB of Trap on my computer and the Trap-A-Holics logo painted on my wall kind of fan). I had actually introduced my friend to Trap music. It was 2014, I think, I don't remember exactly, but I was SO, SO, SO IN LOVE with a girl in my same school. We ended up getting together but, because I used to be mentally unstable she eventually left me. It killed me. Anyways, thing is that he put this song on from his phone and at first I was like "it sounds just like any other Future's song". As it changes, I'm immediately mesmerized, it was as if Future was expressing exactly how I felt. Once the song ended I looked at my friend and said "are you kidding me? this is the best song I've ever heard". We both laughed. I know, I was like, 17, but to me, at that time, it meant a lot. I'm now married, with children, got a well paid and easy job, living the middle-class life, not a thing in the world to complain about and, most importantly, reedeemed by Christ from a life of violence, drugs and depression, and as I look back on those moments I know God always had a plan for me. In a way I miss the teenage years, but at the same time I'm glad it's all over now. Thank you, Lord.
