Refractometer, Hardness test, Polariscope, spectroscope. You've opened up the HUGE science of gem identificAtion. GIA offers a course. Buy a book on gem ID first. It's a career. Otherwise send the stone to GIA in Carlsbad CA. There is a vid on green stone vid. Could be emerald, Sapphire, demantoid garnet, green diamond, jadeite, grossular garnet favorite (love these), irradiated quartz, iron colored turquoise known as parasite from Nevada (nice), calcite, flourite, numerous flouresnt rocks, alexandrite, green tourmaline ECT.

Any jewelry store in a mall can either tell you if it's emerald or peridot for example or offer you an appraisal which are not that pricy

I thought the Nippising diamond was 800 carats. That would make it the largest in North America.

Does GIA certify enhanced diamond?

Technically possible but enhanced are so cheap why would you pay such a expensive fee for a certificate from gia
