They didn't talk. More than likely someone found/was given the records. Even if they did break it NDAs are toilet paper especially if you are famous. If Vince did sue it he looks more like a petty old man than he already does, the media scrutiny would get crazy, it would sink the stock price. All the that would lead to him being removed via a vote of no confidence based off diminished mental faculties. And yes, Vince will fight it but he would lose because just he did to his father his kids will turn on him

Re: the manager in question. Given the limited number of managers it narrows it down. The one that mostly closely matches the description is Terri Runnels. She made TV debut in beginning of 96 but might have signed in 95. She left 2004 (fired for undisclosed reasons) which covers 10 different calendar years. $1 million NDA signed in 2006. These are all just allegations and I have no inside knowledge but based on info from the WSJ report this could be a match.

Christy Hemme who was on the main roster was sent back to OVW and then released in 2005, but the real reason I think it's Hemme is due this interview from 2016 she did when asked about her WWE release: “I’m a strong woman that lives by my morals, and if you ask me to do something that’s not within my morals I will say no. So once I put that you know line down, that’s when I got the axe…It was one specific incident, so I’m just gonna leave it at that, cause I don’t need to go into details…It was not a wrestling related risque thing, I did Playboy…it’s just behind the scenes stuff"
