Gaffigan’s routine in Philly for the Pope’s visit WAS awful. It was the World Meeting of Families so people came from all over the world, many were not native English speakers, and he was unintelligible and cringe. It wasn’t an audience of just Philadelphians and he made no sense because he was unrelatable which with his recycled food jokes. Someone from the Philippines or Africa is supposed to get his Santa joke? He phoned it in and it showed.
