Charlotte Wadrop yes!!! Michael Colbourne (my fav too) was Enjolras at only 21!!!Hyoie is amazing! I love his name (even though my brother called him Hawaii) Yes! E/R is amazing! Almost as amazing as Courferre

Charlotte Wadrop Hyoie IS Enjolras. When I read the brick, he is exactly what I imagine! He has everything, the looks, the strong voice etc.

They Died Holding Hands Yes omg!! And he is still young to show the actually youth and innocence of the character. I find that when they cast the students too much older it looses part of the character especially with Enjolras (is that makes any sense 😂) Also his voice is so good I need to hear him sing red and black 😍

I was lucky enough to see Les Mis live in the West End only a few days ago. All through the wedding scene and the epilogue I was sobbing, unconsolable. The acting, the singing, the stage; as someone who has been obsessed with Les Mis ever since I saw the 2012 film, it was the most emotionally charged and moving piece of art I have ever experienced. In particular, Killian Donnelly was (for me) the perfect Valjean. He captured the character so perfectly, conveying both his external turmoil and inner conflict between morality and damnation so perfectly. He's the first Valjean I've heard/seen portray the father/daughter relationship with Cosette so perfectly. Other standouts were John Lumsden and Anna McGarahan, both of whom played relatively minor parts but immediately drew the eye and added a massive amount to the musical for me. And of course Gavroche (Felix Warren that night) was both hilarious and heartbreaking. Alice Ellen Wright is an understudy for Eponine and played her that night, although watching her made me wonder why she didn't have the opportunity more regularly! I hope that one day I'll be able to see Les Mis live again, but I'm guiltily saddened that it could never be with this cast.

Katy Wilkinson I saw it last week and I completely agree with you! The eponine on cover should sing so much more and I too was sobbing, most when the barricade turned round and Enjolras was upside down in front of the flag. I was also lucky enough to meet them backstage and they were all so lovely and genuine. Killian especially but Enjolras will always have a special place in my heart

I went to see this cast perform yesterday and was moved to tears. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you so very much for amazing individual performances and for an experience that I shall never forget. Loved it. Killian you rock. Your voice so powerful and yet so damned sweet it made me cry. Wonderful ....loved you all.

Saw this cast in Les Mis a few weeks ago- Paul Wilkins was absolutely incredible as Marius and he was super sweet at stage door! Jonny Purchase gave us a backstage tour which was insane!!!!!

saw this cast in March 2018 at Queen's theatre (I think they changed Javert and Thénardier though), and it was absolutely brilliant! Hearing it online and in person are totally different experiences. Wish I could see it one more time in London.

crazylittleclowngirl this is filmed from right at the front, so you probably hear a fair amount of stage sound. Also probably filmed from nowhere near the speakers so not getting a true sound.

I can't lie... I didn't like this Fantine Maybe it was nerves or the different setting but I found her voice to be off key and shouty and I don't think she connected with the song in comparison to Lucy O Byrne (the previous Fantine)

I was at the matinee performance a couple of hours after West End Live and can say that she nailed it there. Admittedly this was my first time seeing Les Mis so I don't have anything much to compare her to but I thought she was excellent when I saw her. So maybe the unfamiliar setting or something put her off here? I do remember her being a bit less shouty.

To be fair, I completely agree that this was not the best performance. I also am very critical and I don't think that any of the performances this year were up to scratch, but performing outside is incredibly difficult so you have to give them that.

in my Opinion the best is Alfie Boe, 2- Gerónimo Rauch, 3- Simon Gleeson, 4- John Owen Jones, 5- Ramin Karimloo, 6- Killian Donnelly, 7- Peter Lockyer, 8- Daniel Diges, 9- Simon Bowman and 10- Gary Morris. Oops what happened with Colm Wilkinson? He, Michael Ball, Rebecca Caine and the whole Original Cast are extremely overrated.

Last year's performance was the best compared to this year, i just don't see the chemistry from the cast, it's like they are just singing it not really feeling it

This cast are all very young singers compared with the mature voices esp in the male roles needed for Valjean, Javert, Thenardier but also for Fantine . The sound is light and rather superficial i.e. not grounded, compared to the 10th Anniversary concert which used the best voice in each role from all over the world. Just not that impressed though I hoped I would be.

What a disappointment;(, I love this musical so much and I'm glad I could see it several times with another cast...I will wait for some changes before I will go again. Even West End Live performance from 2016 was much much better that this year.

Cast changes for les mis are usually in mid june. For a lot of these actors it's their west end debut. I'm shure they were nervous and they need to get used to their role!
