The rpms climbing snapping through gears it's like my A4 banging through gears in sport mode with the exhaust wide open.... smiles per gallon is where driving is at...

Testament to the Audi And Cosworth collaboration that a 20 year old car can still mix it with the modern stuff. First gear is very short on these so you need 3rd by the the time you get to 60. The GTR with its semi auto will hit 60 in second. And we've all seen those get passed at 80+ by other faster cars.. This RS4 is an analog car, in a now digital world. Very addictive and increasing in value....

Only 400 UK right hand drive cars was shipped over to these shores and the engine internals was tuned and developed by Cosworth for Audi making these b5 rs4 very rare and collectable. In another 2 years they will be allowed to get exported to the USA so their price will double a good investment or if you own one then hold on to it for a couple of more years and you will make a small fortune when you sell it. The parts for these cars are obsolete now and you cant buy nothing from even main dealers so that is one major dilemma you will face as an owner. Engine mounts, gearbox mounts, coil springs or shocks even very hard to source maintenance bits for these even however always have aftermarket option and can get costly. 👍

The party trick of the APB/AZR etc 2.7T (on K04's at least) is being undersquare with a boatload of torque. Even though they may be pegged at around 500whp on an all out E85 tune, they feel way faster than their HP numbers suggest because they make killer low-midrange. Get the car up to about 80mph/130kph in 5th or 6th, lay into it. Surprisingly fun cars for the 12% of the time they run perfectly.
