Right!? that was definitely hard to watch. Even though he got what he deserved since seconds earlier he was about to sign Joel off of his life subscription. It still has haunting hearing his pleads and cries. The puns and Ellie teasing Joel though were spot on!

People don't seem to fully understand canned food. It's value. If it's a fully sealed can, no quick pop top, the can is not dented bloated or punctured, doesn't smell off or bad after opening, the food inside will last for a very long time. It should be a sterile environment when it was originally canned/sealed. A popular example was a couple eating 50 year old canned chicken for/from their wedding anniversary with no negative effects. If the can is sealed properly and sterile it should last indefinitely. Although depending on what's in the can you can have some consistency and taste changes which can make it less palatable.

Thanks for the info! I'm sure that, considering the food scarcity they're likely experiencing, that canned ravioli could feel like a delicacy... Remember Tess and Joel's reaction when Ellie was eating a sandwich? Them being able to still find canned foods would be a vital part to their survival, especially if they're not living in a QZ!

@@OfficialMediaKnights The cans themselves are a useful tool as well in a world like this. Repurpose the metal. Leave the lid attached to wash things and drain the water, store objects, use to make rattles for traps, turn into a mini stove, too many uses to list. Made some nice bombs in the game 💥

@@NxCmp Fishing lures, fishing hooks, barbs for arrows, rudemantary knives, you can boil water in them to make it safe to drink, the list is basically endless. Also yeah, canned foods can last a long time. However, as long as its not moldly or rancid, its still a good idea to boil the food inside for quite a long time, just to make sure whatever foodbourne illnesses that might be present are killed. And yeah, 20 years is a long time. However, there are people eating 70+ year old World War 2 rations that you can find on youtube. Theyre rare, but if packaged and preserved properly, theyre still safe to eat.

Kudos on picking up on them humanising deaths of what's essentially your enemy. It was one of the things that impressed me about the second game, the AI has them talk to each other and you can even learn their names through their interactions

This show is doing a great job at showing the trauma and ptsd Joel has from losing Sarah. I mean he’s ruthless in here and Ellie is gonna bring him back. It’s like they’re preparing you for Part 2 😰

i really love the amount of restraint TLOU has when it comes to violence. Violence is only showed when necessary and it's being painted in a terrible light. A cheap tv show would go full violent torture porn on us.

I love your reactions guys! ♥️ You're one of the few that really appreciates both homages and changes they are making for the show, and doesn't really seem bothered if they introduce new things. I have seen A LOT of reactions and got really tired of hearing them complain and compare everything shot by shot about how things should be and should not be, to the point that that's all their reactions is about. Your knowledge of the game doesn't get behind but adds up to the experience. Cinema has to play its strengths, and one of them is powerful storytelling, it doesn't always have to do action for action on television.. i loved this game with my life and it's nice to share this experience with everyone. Thank you so much for such a wonderful comment, you have no idea how much this means to us! The Last of Us was a truly fantastic game, and has the fanbase to show for it. The thing is that everyone has different expectations from adaptations, and sadly, there are some who want it to be an almost scene-by-scene remake, and doing that, sticking to how the game was down to a t, would simply not have worked in a TV medium. Every medium is different, and we have to know when to let go just enough to realize that a lot of these changes were made to accommodate that. Of course not everybody has to like this, it's totally reasonable, what matters is that the essence of the story is intact, and in this case it is! If we wanted an exact copy, we could always just play the game again haha. This way, with the changes, we still get to be surprised and experience this beautiful story all over again!

Yeah it definitely was more action packed in the game, but having that moment where Ellie almost kills to save Joel with her own first ever gun was a very good addition. Also showcased some humanity in the hunters to make us feel the weight of their actions.

You have to remember that it is a game and you can be hit by bullets and still fight your way out, unless your hit points fall to zero...in real life if Joel was shot then he is gonna be hurting, and if they had as many guys on him in the show as the game, he wouldn't stand a chance...they would just surround him and take him out easily...the show has to be a little more realistic in their fight scenes.

what's super cool about pedro and bella as joel and ellie is that they were able to get their essences so well, but were each told not to play the game prier to filming so their takes were original and weren't exact copies of the game versions. :) (i do think they each have played some by now though)

There is two different types of syphoning. One method is to suck/create lower pressure in the tube and the air pressure in the vessel pushes the fluid through it like a straw and continues to flow due to gravity pulling The other is to seal the vessel the liquid is in, then blow into it to create a higher pressure within so that the pressure pushes the gas out until gravity takes over.

The "suck" method can be done in a healthy way with a one-way bulb attachment and doesn't require extra hose or rags

OR You need to go under the hood to get it from the fuel injection system/rail valve and know where that particular car's fuse and relay is (Under the dashboard/some car have engine box under hood), short two pins on the relay with a wire, and turn the KEY/jumpstart the modern car. (Which also means it needs a working battery)

As uncomfortable as it is adding weight to the deaths but names specifically for each of them really humanizes them. They did this in the game but it was as lingering as this

We loved the casting choices from the get go. But seeing them after almost an entire season I gotta say they've really solidified themselves as the live action version of Joel and Ellie in my head. They delivered some moments that were beyond my expectations and added their own twist. They are both super talented people and we're glad they get to be Joel and Ellie 😄

Personally this episode has been the least hype one for me. It's a lot of setup for what's coming. That said? To have a lull after 3 incredible episodes is still amazing. This show is great. Even the least hype episode so far is really goddamn good.

This was definitely the beginning of act 2 per say. The set up did everything it needed to do seamlessly and we got some amazing scenes between Joel and Ellie. Time to get ready for the next episode. It looks like it's gonna be an insane ride!
