There are so many people suffering silently from mental illnesses/ depression. The loss of such a beautiful, gifted and accomplished young lady, with so much to live for, should be an eye opener. Depression does not discriminate. Depression does not see gender, age, color, etc. Praying for Cheslie's family, friends and loved ones. Cheslie so sorry you suffered for so long in silence. RIP beautiful one!

In agreement with you in reference to Cheslie. I was speaking more broadly about some people never reach out for help or acknowledge they need assistance for whatever reason. She lived a very exciting and eventful life! She hid everything better than I could ever dream of doing, if I had been dealing with emotions as heavy as she. Cheslie was a very strong woman. Very determined and sure of her intentions. She was very focused and walked in the power of self determination. I still respect her. I refuse to look or “feel some kind of way” towards her because of her decision to exit the planet like she did. I celebrate her life and the fact that she is now at peace. She accomplished so much in this lifetime! Rest In Peace, the great Cheslie Kryst! ❤️✨

@@KingoftheRoad-2023 Your post is not accurate. You are judging her. Do you know how hard it is to actually take your own life? It is as simple and yet as complicated as this: Cheslie was strong and very accountable for how she lived her life. She met her goals and had a struggle with depression. There was a fiber of emotion that over came her in a moment of her struggle. She took all the focus and strength she had in living her life, and she determined her way out. Trust me, Cheslie was extremely intelligent. She knew it was a final decision. Cheslie deserves respect (from healthy minded people, who have the ability to look at things beyond their own opinions, to find a greater level of understanding/enlightenment). Now remember this and you need to stay ready in your own damn life: All of us will one day meet death, some kind of way. Don’t think yourself so above her decision on facing it. Either way you look at it, one day, your ass gotta go! Question is: will you win Miss America, be a television host and do so many things to elevate the lives of others, before 30? I think not (that’s why you’re on here posting with a judgement on her). Cheslie did these things and guess what else? She had a hell of a mother as her best friend when she was alive and she lived well. What’s in your wallet?

@@j4kgang921 Thats actually a pretty standard practice for Afro type curly hair. It’s a method called shingling where we define the individual curls by shaping them with product. To get the best result you have to do it that way, though most people (including me) don’t have the patience to do it every day. So I wouldn’t necessarily look at her hair practices as a sign of depression though I’m sure everything played a role in some way.

Two scriptures that I love are Psalm 34:18 which says “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” And Philippians 4:6,7 “Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” Saying a prayer for you now. 🙏🏾

Your right! So sad that there are so many envious and evil people in the world who take pride in bringing people down. Terrible that she didn't look in the mirror and see she had what many women wanted. Beauty, intelligence and an amazing career. I'm going through something similar at work and at first it bothered me, because I was being friendly but they barely spoke and hardly ever talk to me. But I focused on my work and listened to my spiritual music, continued to pray and I got stronger as time went on. Now I just smile knowing that Im a woman of God and refuse to let them steal my joy. 😇 Ladies know that jelousy is just a compliment of the beautiful things you have that they want.😊 Instead of feeling bad. Who among us has the right to do that to another person? Why should these trolls care if she entered into a beauty contest? People who feel bad about themselves put others down so they can stand on their backs to raise themselves up. I was the victim of that from a first cousin. There are details that we do not know. It is hard for me to believe that someone who is outspoken would keep this secret of fatal depression from her mom. I am not buying it. Her mom is her best friend. Her mom knows her better than anyone. She would have left a note to speak to us for the last time. I am not buying it. It takes a mentally ill person to jump to their death...or someone on drugs. We all have ups and downs in life. She was not alone in her struggle, she exposed evil and she talked about her feelings. Her mom would have known if she had severe depression. I am waiting to see what comes out of the mouth of family at a later date. Investigation should continue. I would like to see what the cameras saw that morning.

@@lifestraight ...I have spoken to people who contemplated suicide and had the opportunity to share what the bible states. Not one disciple killed himself. They were depressed and experienced hardships we cannot began to imagine. We have to stop looking inward and look upward to God Almighty. We are just here on earth for a short time compared to the eternity we will experience on the other side. God has instilled in each man the will to live. There is a difference in being depressed and wanting to stop the pain and actually jumping off a building to end it all. So I still believe that there are missing pieces to the puzzle. She was very open in several of her videos about how she gets through life. Her mom saw what we saw and I am sure they had an opportunity to discuss over the years. So No. I do not believe that mom was in the dark about the imminent suicide. I pray that others will take this time to draw closer to Jesus. He is a friend that will never forsake you. Mentally ill people may jump off a building. I saw a video where a man was following her and she said he was creepy. She asked him to stop following. This was a bold woman. I just hope she had a relationship with Jesus. This is how I get through life: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6Sxn4Nppcd8qrc

Feb 2, 2022: Oh my...never had seen this young woman before. (A sweet girl with her entire future ahead!?) A heart-wrenching tragedy....suicide is our enemy. I struggled with it myself in 1975 after the death of my boyfriend in an auto accident. At 18, I was unable to cope with the shock and loss. Hoping you are now with JESUS. John 3:16 *My deepest condolences to your family.

"THOU SHALL NOT KILL" the sixth commandment (forbids) even suicide. Sadly, she probably was not well versed on the subject of bibilical literature. JOHN 14:15 "IF YOU LOVE ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS." MATTHEW 7:21 "NOT EVERYONE WHO SAYS (LORD LORD) TO ME SHALL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, BUT HE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER IN HEAVEN."

To the hair part. Love that she seperate her curls. A stylist taught me this when I was a teen. N I helped me keep my hair tangle free and I could go more days without washing..my hair retainer length so much better after doing that to my hair Yes it takes a long time but so worth it.
