Actually its among the best if you think about it. Villains of that caliber would not be screwing around much. It would be like OG Thor bothering to acknowledge humans on Earth. Because he was way beyond them and had to learn they knew almost nothing. Jane at least in MCU helped a lot there. Spiderman has absolutely ridiculous villains compared to most. Green Goblin is high up there. Notice how most of this Spidermans villains end up dead in the fights. Thats the level of severity at play.

I was way younger when I watched this and couldn't understand she was actually gone. All those moments throughout this movie and the previous one of them being so adorable together rly came back to punch me in the gut. This was the first death of a major character in a movie that legit left me speechless and in a state of denial for days

some say that Gwen hit the ground hard before Spiderman's webbing caught her others say that Spiderman stopping Gwen's fall midway caused a whiplash that broke her neck either way, Gwen's death was one of the most tragic moments of Peter's life, he eventually got the courage to move on and continue the good fight for her sake, he later gets a new girlfriend Mary Jane Watson, but he's a bit more cautious around MJ, having learned his lesson from Gwen that it was not a good idea to let your girlfriend know your secret identity, because it would get them involved, and if they are seen helping you, the villain will abduct them and cause their death

Gwen Stacy's death: Killed by: Gwen Stacy/herself (caused, accidental). Gwen decides to save Peter Parker/Spider Man by ramming into Max Dillon/Electro with a police car she was driving, same one she was webbed on the hood of the car. Then Harry Osborn/Green Goblin arrives. Harry Osborn/Green Goblin (Indirectly caused). Harry distracts Peter when he's pulling Gwen up with the web she's grabbing on, then the web snaps, and Harry gets knocked out when the clock gears break. Peter Parker/Spider Man (Accidental). Gwen falls down at high speed, Peter couldn't dive down more faster, so he decides to web at her to try to save her, accidentally accelerating her fall more faster, causing her to get a big blow to the head after hitting the concrete ground and snap her neck. I don't care if people believe that it's Peter's fault, Harry's fault, and Gwen's fault. Please let me believe what I believe. Nobody should tell me what to believe because nobody should for me. If it's their fault, fine. For me, I believe it was just Harry Osborn/Green Goblin's fault. Peter didn't mean to. And Gwen had to save Peter from Max.

The main problem with this is that her death is sudden, delivered at the hands of a last-minute secondary antagonist, and there's little buildup. Lots of blatant hints (like the speech about death in front of a bridge), but no buildup. Had the Green Goblin been the main villain for the entire movie, this would have been quite different.

Man I really don’t feel like the Goblin was necessary to have in this movie, i feel like he should’ve been the main villain for a third installment, that way we would have had a longer fight sequence with Electro (who’s awesome by the way) i really hate the heroic ASM2 theme playing after Electro’s defeat, thinking that all problems are over and the city is safe but then wait a minute, problems aren’t over yet. ugh, i hate that. Gwen would still be alive

I feel like the larger the area the bigger the advantage for goblin no? He has a flying glider. Flight is a superior ability to swinging around in an open space. Also, he has grenades which are also better at ranges rather than closer quarters. On top of this, he's weaker than spider man in both combat capabilities and physical strength, so any close quarters will almost always be spider man's advantage.

I really liked this scene. I remember when the first movie came out, I figured in the second one, they'd kill her, and I wondered how they would handle it, since in the comics, it's sort of unclear whether she dies from the fall itself or from Peter's web stopping her abruptly and snapping her neck. I was curious how they could portray that in a movie, and I think they did a great job achieving the same ambiguity.

If TASM 3 happens I would still have the Green Goblin not only alive but the main villain of the movie , It could motivate Peter to stop him even more after Gwen’s Death more , however it will drive him to revenge ( if they put the symbiotic there it would sense but I would love if they had the classic suit though ) Peter would not have another love interest though & knows now to stay away from forming any relationship alike , The ending could be in 2 ways : 1 - the movie takes place before No Way Home where Peter kills Green Goblin out of pure rage & the Daily Bugle thinks Spider-Man is a menace to New York . 2 - the movie takes place after No Way Home where Peter 2 returns from his world he moves on by people around him
