Great video but would love to have seen "how" it's made. This felt like more of a what dart players use instead of what the actual processes in making the dart are. We were shown the block of metal so surely it makes sense to show us how it gets to the stages to the finished article? All the machinery in use would have been excellent. Good video though just lacked more intricate details I think
@BlueHopi1442 жыл бұрын
agreed , they did not cover those most important aspects of the precise fabrication steps & machinery involved . Maybe they will cover it one day

Perhaps because of proprietary concerns with the machining processes…??
@markymoo19802 жыл бұрын
@@davemuckeye Possibly Dave, but then the video should've been called "who it's made for" instead of "how it's made" as the machinery and any other equipment would be essential to create a "how" video in the first place surely?

I'm interested in the tooling behind turning darts. As a machinist and a darts player (for fun), I'm curious as to carbide grades Winmau chose to machine such high tungsten content alloys.

I expected to hear that the most important thing in dart barrel design fitting was about how different each hand is. Fingers, palm, launch method. Was still interesting though.

My biggest dream is to have my own custom set of darts from Red Dragon/ Winmau. Is it somehow possible? Or do you have to be a second peter wright or famous as Jaakmaate : ) Nice Video though.

Is it true that the name 'WINMAU' comes from the founders mother's names WINifred MAUd?
@nuntana28 ай бұрын
Not 100% but think it was from the initials of his wife's first and second names as opposed to his mother.

Hmmm🤔 guess wrong title then.🙄 But anyway, on the brighter side, Nodor/Winmau/Rd, imo, makes the world of darts better. I think some of us would agree.🤔 The boards are indeed great improvements by far. But the darts... although already having a massive inventory and more being designed. But as an avid fan, it's getting ridiculous specially with the wrights that look so wrong. They're way; Overhyped, Overdone and Overpriced (not like i cared to own one either).🙄 The fans could do less with the (again) ridiculous paints. We could tone it down, keep em simple & functional, this is where the natural beauty of tungsten shows!😉 But truly, The best innovation hands down for most avid dart fans are the Winmau freeflo points and the tridents. These give us more practice times while keeping flights replacements to a minimum!😎👍 So, to the fans... no matter what type of barrels that you choose... Have a great time, always! ✌🍻😁
