❤YOU never know the innocence, strength & beauty of your youth until it's gone. I was born in Costa Rica in the 70's. Grew up in Queens New York from 1978 though the 80's. Danced and Raved my ass off in the 90's. Blessed enough to have Performed and Dance, in Thee must Legendary Club's in America and New York City Club Land. wild meeting some awesome wonderful fabulous friends. So many where lost to Drugs, Aids, Drinking, D.r.u.g.s, car accidents DWI. some are here and some are still missing. Thank you heavenly Father for your guidance, courage, strength and love. All that Behavior scared the shit out of me & it kept me on my Toes. I always had a JOB whether it was Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall. And here I still am in 2024 & It's Valentines day. I always worked all my life. I live in Los Angeles and so many friends fell into the gangs. I have 2 locked up in Prison for life. One was so close to me and my family. My father even wrote a letter to the judge explaining what a great kid Ricky was. he was a great student and athlete. He was my best friend in High School and later in life joined a gang and was caught doing a drive by shooting, now locked up for life. I have always believed in God, and he showed me the right way to live. I also had a strict father who raised me up Military style. He is a Korean War Veteran and always told me stay educated and the results will be awesome as you get older. He was correct. But I have so many friends now who are either homeless or on drugs or in gangs. The one who is homeless was a great athlete and he was the quarterback in our high school. I also have 2 friends who are girls, they both overdose on drugs and died. Such a Tragedy! I am starting to tear up. May God Bless All Of You. No Colors denied here!! We are one. Amen! Amen! Amen!

It is a beautifully sad song, I remember I had just turned 20 when this song came out and I could not identify with the message because I was never being boring, I just thought the song was about not being boring and having fun. Now in my 40s, it is so bittersweet to listen to this song because I have lost a couple of very dear friends over the years, one a little over a year ago and another some years after this song came out. Plus all those friends you just lose touch with and never imagine you would stop seeing them. I just think in those times and how inmortal we felt, I wish my missing friends were here with me being boring.

I'm 18 and I absolutely love every single one of their songs. This is probably my favorite song of all times, the dreamy feelings it carries through those chords, the gorgeous lyrics, the synth pads, the bass line, the drums, the video, the soft Neil's voice, are a class of their own, that's so perfect. It makes me think of being young, in the past, in the flux of time, makes me want to make a video in VHS of myself these days. Although there is a bit of sadness (as he goes "now I sit in different places, in rented rooms and foreign places"), especially seeing them so young (particularly Chris), thinking they're in their 60s now; it's something that makes me cry. Sometimes when I listen to "Behaviour" it feels painful to see them "old" nowadays, in contrast with then. In spite of this I'll enjoy them as long as possible...it's difficult to describe in words how much I love this song (and the PSB)

Lyrics: I came across a cache of old photos And invitations to teenage parties "Dress in white" one said, with quotations From someone's wife, a famous writer In the nineteen-twenties When you're young you find inspiration In anyone who's ever gone And opened up a closing door She said "we were never feeling bored" 'Cause we were never being boring We had too much time to find for ourselves And we were never being boring We dressed up and fought, then thought make amends And we were never holding back or worried that Time would come to an end When I went I left from the station With a haversack and some trepidation Someone said: "if you're not careful You'll have nothing left and nothing to care for In the nineteen-seventies" But I sat back and looking forward My shoes were high and I had scored I'd bolted through a closing door I would never find myself feeling bored 'Cause we were never being boring We had too much time to find for ourselves And we were never being boring We dressed up and fought, then thought make amends And we were never holding back or worried that Time would come to an end We were always hoping that, looking back You could always rely on a friend Now I sit with different faces In rented rooms and foreign places All the people I was kissing Some are here and some are missing In the nineteen-nineties I never dreamt that I would get to be The creature that I always meant to be But I thought in spite of dreams You'd be sitting somewhere here with me 'Cause we were never being boring We had too much time to find for ourselves And we were never being boring We dressed up and fought, then thought make amends And we were never holding back or worried that Time would come to an end We were always hoping that, looking back You could always rely on a friend And we were never being boring We were never being bored 'Cause we were never being boring We were never being bored

You know, lots of people say that the music of one decade or another had the "Best music". But this incredible song is from my 40's, every decade has its share of brilliant music, This is a perfect example of that. I love the music from the year that I got my first transistor radio on my 10th birthday in 1960. Every year before and after has great music. I still listen to new music and find new bands to love even now, in my 70s. I still like to revisit perfection like "Being Boring" every few weeks for a few hours. It makes me remember these decades, music can bring back the scent, time of year, the place you were, people you were with, and the feelings you experienced. Music is a time machine...

One of my faves of all time. I was 14 when it came out. Loved it then and love it more now. Weird trivia: Axl Rose (a big fan) enjoyed this song so much, he asked the PSB why they didn’t have it in their live set at concerts shortly after it had come out. It was added after that and NT said it got the biggest reception in their encore.

Bruh, this track is pure nostalgia, innit? It's all about those simpler times, partying, dressing up, and not stressing about time. It's like a reminder that even though life moves on and people change, those moments were never boring. Makes you think how fast everything can shift, but also how important it is to enjoy the ride, no regrets, no boredom.

That day these two guys met in 1981 must be the luckiest day ever in music history! When you see their huge influence in pop music and in so many people's lives and inspiration with their high-quality lyrics, melodies and harmonies - and then compare it to the meaning of the initial event that simply means 'Two guys meet in an electronic shop and talk to each other'. It gets a miraculous dimension! And it's still growing because they are still working together! I'm so grateful for songs like 'Being boring'!

I don't get these statements. We've never had so much, and society has come so far since then. My life in the 80's and 90's wasn't that great, so I guess I look back and just see how hateful and narrow minded the world was, and how much effort I had to go through to find art and beauty and good music.

This song is magnificent. The dreamy melodies are as nostalgic and soft as a faded polaroid. But the lyrics stab you where it hurts, because time doesn't stop. If we're lucky, we'll all have that chance to reminisce on our past and think about the end. So bittersweet. I'm always left dumbfounded by the PSB and how deep they can be with pop, a seemingly simple thing. Love them.
