Those that will be watching this in 2100 I was here Dec 2024. It was a nice time where Nigeria music industry was booming. The country was not really working but entertainment was working. I hope the country has now work. We your grandparents are proud you still carrying the green white flag high. God bless Nigeria.

2023 I'm still jamming the song. Why I love this song is because it's a song about gratitude and gratitude is the secret for answered prayers. I'm Igbo and the last line Phyno used in Igbo was: "Odogwu bi n'elu igwe, ọgọdọ ya ana-akpọ n'ala" meaning "Great God that lives up in heaven yet his cloth still touches the ground". The imagery it makes of this great God is something you can only find in African languages.

i'm a cameroonian but i so much love naija music. people always see the negative things of nigerians especially the igbos- drugs, crime and juju. but let me tell u smthng the igbos are the most creative, generous n hospitable people i've ever come to knw. as per the music i love the part in the confession box. it shows the ingenuity of naija artists

I'm DJing a wedding reception tomorrow (9/23), and "Fada Fada" happens to be one of the requested songs in the Bride's playlist (She's Nigerian, her Husband-to-be is American). She sent me MP3s of all the songs she wanted me to play (about 80 songs). As an American who loves and appreciates music, and as a DJ since 1977, I've done many parties where I'd been introduced to lots of music from different parts of the world, and fell in love with Nigerian music ever since my ears first opened uo to the classic sounds of Fela Kuti. During my residence on Staten Island, New York (1999-2003), I played at lots of Liberian parties -- where I was introduced to a mixture of sounds from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria (of course!), and South Africa. I wound up falling in love with African music even more. This will be my first Naija party (and, hopefully, not the last). I'm going to really enjoy doing this wedding reception, because this music is truly amazing! What the late, great Bob Marley spoke about the effects of Reggae music can be definitely applied to me: one good thing about Naija music, when it hits me I feel no pain. One Love, All Love!
