Can't help but like this kid. Has that quiet confidence that doesn't come off as brash or cocky.

Swedish mentality, being cocky is forbidden.

Funny Story: Lucas Raymond is my sister, Elizabeth's, favorite player, Liz's birthday is March 28, 2005 Lucas's birthday is exactly three years before hers on March 28, 2002 (I know this from the roster. I'm not a stalker, I swear)

The only concern I have about Raymond is the 82 game grind and whether he will have the stamina to handle the schedule.
@billjohansson882 жыл бұрын
As for all player a dip is dome too come sonner or later. He have a hole team in his back too support him and puch him over those low times here. So I don´t think its so much about stamina here, more a mental thingi anyone will go true through. Am glad he made the team, even tho I think he should be more rewarded more in GR. But am also glad redwings have a team that has sooo much chemistry and it is so clear what support is in the team today.

Wtf was that question about Ray not moving his feet? Really? I don't think that was that necessary to bring up. He's only 19 for crying out loud. Regardless, there are guys like Ovie who barely move their feet without the puck and it's working out well for him. Ray will be relied on to play more defense so he'll have to move around more but that's so cherry picking right now. Expecting him to be a complete player at 19 is stupid. He's already as close to complete as you'll ever see from a 19 year old rookie. Let's enjoy that!
@davetimmer51492 жыл бұрын
He's really good. But the line he plays with is the key. The other two require defences to watch them first. Defences will get sucked in or spread out and Lucas gets space. His line also has been playing as a team, not very many selfish moments on the ice.

For new kids starting out in hockey we don't keep score anymore in Sweden. Participation trofées has been around since I was a kid (30 years ago). You got a small one for being in a tournament but the winners got a big one. It was not a problem. Not keeping score is because they want the kids to continue playing hockey for as long as possible since some kids develop their skill later. Unsure if it works but I guess we will know in about 5-8 years when the first players with this regime get to the NHL. LGRW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
