Gotti died in jail so he can't tell his side. But to be honest he would have ended up there anyway. Those wire tap tapes buried him. Should have kept his mouth shut. Then to add insult to injury he tried to make Sammy take the weight for his mistake. Bad move on his part if you ask me.

Ive noticed that he's never more happy telling stories then when he's talking about his time with the Feds. Maybe it was a relief. For the first time in his life not having to put on a tough facade all the time and not having to worry about something coming back to haunt him. That make the memories of that time so positive to reminisce about it.

I lived through a few too many of these and have heard names of people my parents mentioned quite often when I was a kid. My mother dated Anthony Mirra and there I was, age ten, asking him in the driveway to my building what he did for a living and how he knew my mother. He couldn't have been more polite, saying they were friends and he was a businessman. I was like "okay" and left. I never knew who "Tom and Roy DiMAYO" were until I found these channels. @@PurpleHazeNation that makes Sammy a _lesser_ man not a greater one. Michael Franzese at least has the reason/excuse/explanation his father Sonny refused to let the apple roll far from the tree. Sammy had good parents, working parents, honourable parents. Instead of honouring is parents and honouring their decency, he decided to dishonour and disgrace them by being a thug and a bully and a murderer and enabling even worse bullies and murderers. Sammy KNEW DiMeo was a literal serial killer, butchering dozens of innocent reasons for no reason whatsoever, and all he did was make a funny sideways comment to another wiseguy about it.
