This is one of those songs that you come to realize as an adult that you had no business singing as a child. This was my JAM😂
@jaybreezy16692 жыл бұрын
So true. Lol. We had no idea what we were singing. Like back then singing like a virgin when I had no idea what a virgin was at 11. I was so naive and innocent back then. But the songs were catchy and the ladies of the 80s were simply sexy, alluring, beautiful, and had style and strength.

1st time I heard this song, I had just bought the cassette and was riding around in my 79 Mustang and this song was first track. When I heard her say "Come spend the night inside my sugar walls", I ALMOST RAN OFF THE ROAD and was weak in the legs for the rest of the day. The song was banned from local radio. This was the all time NASTIEST SONG EVER WRITTEN & SUNG. Of course you also have to factor in who and what Sheena Easton was in the 1980's. She began life as a UK pop track gal and went suddenly into GROWN WOMAN MODE OVERNIGHT. Oh hell yes = it was good for me.

While Prince wrote some of her biggest hits, other writers helped her earlier in her career. Her biggest hit, Morning Train (9 to 5) was actually written by Florrie Palmer, a British songwriter. Arms of Orion Prince asked her to write it, she did, Prince added his twist to it, and then put in into the Batman movie under his name. However, if you look it up her name comes first, and it is shown she wrote it initially.
