Should be a longer bar so the athletes can’t rest the hands against the thighs. That’s why the BACK gave out before the grip, it’s not a grip exercise when the hands are on your thighs locking them.

Have you ever lifted heavy weight? Above bar grips are extremely difficult to keep, and your grip strength definitely can make it easier or harder.

A solid steel ball 1m diameter would weigh 4110kg, not 260kg, so this is 93.6% air inside. It wouldn't be very good as a wrecking ball!
