You think that Colors is great? You should see the older games, too! My recommendation? Get a Sega Dreamcast and try out Sonic Adventures 1 and 2 if you can get them. The games can get fairly pricey, but they still hold up to this day. Say, did you hear about the upcoming Sonic Colors remaster?

I am one that does not really care for most of the modern 3D Sonic music. It sounds too rocky with not enough melody. However there are a few songs in there like Rooftop Run etc... I am a much bigger fan of all of the music from the 2D games (3D Blast [Flickies?] has pretty good music as well). I absolutely love the old music because it has much more fun, melodic qualities. Songs like Emerald Hill, Metropolis, Ice Cap, and Azure Lake stand at the top of the list (I am excluding Sonic Mania, but omg is it good). However this...this might be my favorite song in the whole series. This song, on its own, got me interested in the series again. Then I realized the game looked pretty good outside of the music.

It's 2010. I'm 3yo and I got this game on Christmas. My childhood was pretty much based on Sonic. Fast forward and i'm growing up. Now it's August 2021. Sonic Colors Ultimate is right around the corner. I am now in my first year of high school, and I learn that the game I pretty much grew up on is getting remade. Time really flies...

This game, despite the rage I felt so many years ago about it (Actually, it was like a week ago) if definitely in my top 5 favorite Sonic games. It's nowhere even close to Sonic Heroes, my Number 1 pick, but it's at least up there.
