It makes me sad to see Bolton so anxious and with that look in his eye. His actor is amazing for that performance. 3:51 Nikki is a veteran, too. Her face the entire time just says everything. She feels Bolton's pain. 3:33 Sorry for my ignorance, I'm an American fan, haha. When did the UK deploy troops in Afghanistan? Specifically, what year. For the US it was around 2005, I believe.

2001 I believe, shortly after we both declared war and you guys starting bombing Taliban, our side sent ground troops to drive Taliban out further then the war progressed into a counter-insurgency. In fact until today I always thought the US also put ground troops out there in 2001. Wouldn't be suprised if both our special forces were in the cave battles though.

My grandad had PTSD from what my dad had told me after WW2 he couldn’t be in a room and watch war films

Why did the writers insist that Bolton join the Army? He got PTSD out of it and as far as I can tell, was jailed in a military prison for a long time, unless someone tells me otherwise. I always liked his sidekick Paul more but the damned writers had him trying to join the Army too, but failing - Paul should count himself lucky!
