アニソン界の”永遠の”大型新人・鈴木雅之です。 第一期、第二期に続き、なんと第三期でもオープニングテーマを担当させていただくことになりました。「かぐや様は告らせたい」という世界規模で愛されている日本を代表する作品に、三度関わらせていただくことは、『ギネス級な快挙』だと光栄以外の言葉が見当たりません。 今作「GIRI GIRI」は、前作に引き続きサウンドプロデューサー本間昭光の推薦もあり、ガールズバンド“SILENT SIREN”のヴォーカル＆ギターのすぅをパートナーに迎えて歌いました。彼女の持つワンアンドオンリーな歌声は、３作連続で作詞作曲を務めた水野良樹によるこのファンキーなディスコチューンを、より華やかに彩ってくれたと自負しています。アニメをご覧になる皆さんも、毎週画面の前で踊ってくれるんじゃないかな？と想像しています。 アニメで描かれる世界が、この曲でより“ウルトラロマンティック”になれば嬉しい限りです。 Comment from Masayuki Suzuki This is Masayuki Suzuki, the “eternal” big rookie of the anison world. Following the first and second seasons, I am singing the opening theme for the third season! I cannot find words other than being honored and that it is a “Guinness World Records-level feat” for me to be involved in the Kaguya-sama series three seasons in a row, Japan’s iconic work that has attracted loving fans on a global level. I sung this song “GIRI GIRI” with Su, the singer/guitar player of the girl band SILENT SIREN. Again, she was recommended by sound producer Akimitsu Homma. I strongly believe that her one-of-a-kind voice added to the glam of this funky disco tune, written by Yoshiki Mizuno, who has taken on this anime’s theme song for three seasons. I can picture each of you dancing in front of your TV screen every week you watch a new episode! I cannot be happier if the world depicted in the anime turns “ultra-romantic” with this song.

今回鈴木雅之さんと「GIRI GIRI」をご一緒させていただく事になったときは本当に嬉しく、びっくりしました！そしてプレッシャーもあり、何よりダンスを全くやったこともなくはじめてのスタイルでの歌唱で緊張していましたが、鈴木さんも優しくて緊張を和らげてくださり楽しく歌ったり踊ることができました！「かぐや様は告らせたい」も見ていたのでアニメに寄り添い楽曲の良さも伝えられるように精一杯歌わせていただきます！ When I was asked to sing “GIRI GIRI” with Masayuki Suzuki-san, I was so happy and surprised and the same time! It gave me pressure as well; most of all, I had never danced and was nervous about singing in this style for the first time. But Suzuki-san was so nice that he helped me ease my nerves; I was able to have fun singing and dancing! I have also been watching the Kaguya-sama series and I will give it my all to stay present to the anime and convey the quality of this song!

This is just amazing. The song itself is reference for previous two song. The most of the choreography is from Love Dramatic. The arm raise and the finger gun. The arrangement are from Daddy Daddy Do. Combining jazzy laid-back combo and brass line accompanied by lovely acapella with string to add the feel for the melancholic part. This really bring the vibe of 90s love song in this modern era. Well, it's sung by the King of Love Song. The essence of the song itself also is very similar starting with “ chorus - two verse with chorus - bridge - a tone / semitone higher chorus ” But by adding a sax solo is just unexpected. It really brings more colour the to song. 2:52 like Daddy Daddy Do, using melancholic string arrangement with butter-smooth Masayuki's voice for the build up, is just truly feel like the love is reaching the climax. Masayuki Suzuki singing is as usual never cease to amaze me. Suu is also just good as the flavor of Masayuki's classy singing. The king use kinda more versatile technique in this one from falsetto to frying. Yes he use a lot of fry, but for a 65 year old hitting G# and A# is not a mere feat. I think adding fry really emphasized the lyric and the music itself. 3:40 Also just a little and simple improvisation from the King himself is wonderful. Denying both previous song as the melody is repetitive. Don't get me wrong both previous songs are amazing. But something about this song hits different. Thank you Kaguya for introducing me to this part of the world. 👏👏👏

yeah, the overall structure of the song goes the same as daddy daddy do -> chorus at beginning to start of verse, verse drops slightly in dynamics, build up to chorus, chorus comes back, rinse and repeat. Although its the same, it somehow feels completely different at the same time, so well done
