Technically, no. Purple guy doesn't. If he had, then he wouldn't be trying to kill the player in FNAF 3 or FNAF 6. He also wouldn't be a threat in the books either if he felt guilty for his sins. I understand that the books aren't the same as the games but they often go hand to hand. In this song, Springtrap refers to Afton as "he" not "I" or "Me". So, Springtrap feels bad but Afton couldn't care less. He wanted to be a part of the machines he helped create. I'm sure in some fandoms it's different, but this information is based on the real story.

Yes, everyone can change but Afton never did. Sure, the guy lost his family but if he never design the funtime animatronics to kidnap children, his daughter would have been fine. If he didn't scare his son away from the restaurants and then force him to go there for his birthday, the bite of 83 would have never happened. But no. The dude spent his life killing children, experimenting on their dead souls, then creating other animatronics to kidnap children, then dying in a spring lock suit, and still continuing to kill up until he finally burns and goes to hell in ultimate custom night. Also, animatronics that have dead angry yet fearful children inside of them wouldn't chase after you unless they wanted to hurt the player. It's understandable how people might think that but that's not how it works. It's Five Nights At Freddy's. The animatronics are only good with children as it is said in FNAF 2.

Yeah it dosent perfectly match springbonnie and dosent perfectly match William but it dose closer match bonnie like to think it's the 2 twisting together sense the springlocks are piercing everywhere maybe the brain was hit and springtrap is realizing his mistakes and singing in harmony between springbonnie and William Lines for springbonnie "I only wanted freinds" "every twitch is a fight against the broken soul inside" "My mind isint my own" William lines "I only wanted freinds" Both William and Bonnie could reasonably say I only wanted freinds cuz even if in cannon William is a mustache twirling undead fury rabbit who never changes his evil if you think about him outside of cannon he's tragic I mean dude had all three kids die to his own creations killed several kids then died in agony his wife probably left him before his death and he was locked away for years to think about what he did I understand fnaf needs it's big villain but at this point he's stopped being just a guy and is unreasonable cruel for no reason if any real human being went through what springtrap went through they'd probably deeply regret their actions wish they could take it all back and just say sorry William was likely grieving and unstable when he killed the kids he would probably regret causing his kids and the missing kids death but Scott can't let him feel any human emotions other than hate and kill This song and that one epoch example are a great example of how springtrap should of been played a tragic character or rather 2 characters a old man who made mistakes took life's and as the ultimate punishment lost his own life and the sentient torture method used to kill him springbonnie is Williams only company while he's back there and sense springbonnie has a good soul he talks to William helps William become a better person again by talking about his kids the missing kids bassicly telling William all the same things I said and by making William realize all Jesus done springbonnie would slowly yet surly nature him back into a normal person with actual feelings yet he'd still lash put sometimes or not fully understand a leasion I understand this version wouldn't be usable as a villain but people are getting sick of him anyways he lost his charm as "just a normal guy" and has become a magic being that can appear whenever fir no reason other then plot and I think this version would be far more interesting make you feel bad for the dead kids the killer of the kids and the robot that killed the killer

Spring Bonnie is innocent. If anything, he is an unwilling accomplice. William Afton pulled back the springlocks and wore Spring Bonnie to lure the children to where they were murdered. God.. im hearing this song again after so many years and it is still so emotional. I loved it sm back then because I always liked the idea that springtrap (spring bonnie) and afton were two separate entities making springtrap a very tragic character. All he knew was being on stage, entertaining kids, simply enjoying moments spent with other animatronic friends but then all of that fun and innocence was taken away by his own monstrous creator, eventually having his corpse and soul stuck within his broken shell and left to rot together for many years.

This song in the context of fnaf security breach where each animatronic has their own personality and glamrock freddy even knows he's being controlled in the burntrap ending makes it so much sadder spring bonnie was just an animatronic who's suit was used as a disguise to murder children and at one point is used to kill the one who used him to hurt kids that's damn tragic

Even way before Security Breach and Sister Location (pretty sure the Funtime Animatronics are self aware even with Circus Baby before Elizabeth possess her) I always thought the animatronics all had some level of AI which made them self aware and gave them their own personalities way before they were possessed. So they suffer from split personality due to the spirit and AI fighting for control over the body. Although with the kids their spirits probably eventually came to some agreement with the AI to help them get revenge because the animatronics themselves would probably pity the kids and want to help them get justice. Spring Bonnie on the other hand after being horrified upon realising what William had done while wearing him then after he was left to rot in the safe room then when William tried to hide from the spirits by wearing Spring Bonnie the animatronic decided he'd had enough of being used by William and made his springlocks snap shut both as revenge for being used and justice for the kids William killed. Though Spring Bonnie sadly didn't count on William possessing him so as Springtrap his AI and William's spirit are fighting for control as Spring Bonnie doesn't want to hurt another innocent person ever again. Sadly its possible the fire of Fazbear Frights damaged Springtrap to the extent Spring Bonnie's AI was completely destroyed essentially killing him allowing William to gain full control so by the events of Pizzaria Simulator and Security Breach (if Burntrap really is William and not the Mimic) Spring Bonnie is now sadly just a dead empty shell being used by William.

this song reminds me of the fusion Malachite from Steven Universe, with Purple Guy representing Jasper, and Spring Bonnie representing Lapis Lazuli, with Springtrap reprsenting Malachite, and as Garnet says of Malachite, the same of which can be said for Spring Bonnie and Purple Guy: "yikes. they are really bad for each other."
