The "Topson strategy" (not picking meta heroes) is actually super legit. Because usually people know, how to play against broken meta heroes. They are used to them, they know, when they are strong and what are they doing and how/when to beat them. But when you pick now brood or lycan and you know what you are doing, the enemy team has hard time adapting, because they are not used to these heroes. They have 1% playrate, there is good chance that they have not met that hero in last 100 games.
@Talk3rs11 ай бұрын
I actually had that experience on CK in extreme - I played him during the summer with 80%+ winrate in 60 games. Literally destroying every single game, going 18/2 in some instances. When it got it final buff, it became meta before the TI and during it, I stopped playing it, because the game stopped being fun. Everybody knew how strong the hero is, they met him every single gam, they knew how to counter it or play against it and my winrate dropped to 60% after hero received a buff, which is still solid, but frustrating, so I went to search for another hero... So I switched to Abba and slardar, who were not played, same experience, then got final buff and everybody was playing it, people learned how to play against it and I could not abuse it anymore. So yeah, I play off meta heroes as much as possible, because I feel they are broken in term of "nobody knows how to play against this hero, so I can abuse it".

@@Talk3rssounds like you are playing lower mmr games, meta isn't relevant there. oh, and CK was very op during that time and everyone knew it 8D

I wish Cap would be more open and tell us what these songs are that he listens to... What reason is there to keep it to yourself? If you reveal personal details about your own life, your podcast guests (or anybody that you're having a verbal face-to-face conversation with, in general) will be much more open and likely to reveal personal details about their own life, which makes for a much more authentic and engaging experience for the viewer.

Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but not every single event has to have the format with the most competitive integrity. It just serves as a restrictive barrier for TOs to have to meet the expectation of ie. 2 phase group stage, every single playoff game is bo3/5 even the first round lower bracket match up, or even that every single tournaments needs double brackets. Sure, TIs or the Riyadh tournament should have on the tail end of competitive integrity but a couple majors a year with funkier formats? I don't see why not.

People don't realise that saying sorry makes the recipient feel guilty, not better. Because it makes it about the sender and not the recipient.
