There are no unwinnable matchups and the gap between tiers isn't that big, this is truly amazing that they somehow balanced a roster of over 80 characters

Light biggest enemy is impatience. And that can be a huge problem for a light char like fox. One rushed upsmash like in 10:22 lead to a disadvantge stage that lost him the set.

Light has some rust on him. He was not attending online tournaments since the pandemic Bc fox is bad online. He also said on stream he has not been practicing much. Like I can see that when he played Friendlies with void and cosmos before hand. He is missing tech chases (which he almost never used to miss). But Jr can do nothing to camping with a shield offline, many characters are just better than him in neutral. Like let’s be honest, Light got greedy at the end of the set and that’s the only reason he lost. Ran into up b, panicked, missed the tech. Here - yeah, jr can punish you HARD and comeback any time. But if opponent keeps playing patiently, we’ll see the second Light game all over again, unfortunately

The mind games are the conditioning that takes place within the game, not trying to distract your opponent irl. That's ridiculous. Light is a top player because he is very skilled at the game, I HIGHLY doubt he removed his mask for any reason other than to get more comfortable, and probably also so he can focus on the game better as well. Regardless, the mask definitely should have stayed on.

I don't think it is. He's performing worse than two years ago compared to rest of the playerbase and Fox got buffed meanwhile. Also even if this is MU inexperience for a top 10 player I expect to see him winning the tournament or at least making in the top 8. Instead he lost in the first round of top 24 vs Scend (BestNess). And if there is a thing Online is good for (and two years of practice vs different players are good for) is MU exp since you face a lot of players during tournaments that happen with an high frequency.

@@ispitfire1 That's another whole question. 1) Marss didn't play the game for like a year before becoming a content creator pretty much and he needs to grind again (he lost vs a Kazuya in the same tournament too). 2) ZSS got nerfed and Fox got buffed during quarantine. 3) it was the first offline Marss tournament (Light played in different offline tourneys before Push the Limit).
