@@christophermckay5049 it's just point autofocus in video, so you don't have to manually adjust focus or anything during the shot. however, you still have to compose the shot in the right way for autofocus to do it's thing. there's no way for brodin to hold the camera, adjust focus, and shoot at the same time. either way brodin still goated

@@aidanyy3176You can swivel a camera’s lens with just one hand. I use to work events where I was shooting video. There were times where I needed a free hand, I found using my left hand to hold the camera from the bottom of the camera body and lens to be the best so that I could still use my ring finger to swivel the focus or latch onto the camera with my pinky, ring finger, and middle finger while swiveling the lens with my index finger and thumb to correct the zoom to be the best method for that. Why my left hand and not my right? Well I am right handed but so are most cameras. In this case I’m talking about DSLR’s and mirrorless cameras. Most of these cameras have a grip for the right hand so that you have a good hold for when you press the shutter release, which is also done by the right hand. The left hand, lost people’s non-dominate hand, is reserved for operating the lens and accessing any settings on the left hand side of the camera body. That all being said, cameras like these can of course still autofocus all on their own. There are different autofocus settings as well. Ones for pinpoint locations you can set on the live view display. Other types of autofocus priority can be set to are, specific focal points, face detections, areas wider than pinpoint, and more but these are generally all that are universal from one brand to the next. With a Nikon Z6, you can have it set to any autofocus setting and have it kick in. Say you wish to override that autofocus and take over for it. You can do this in settings of course but let’s say you only have use of your left hand. If that’s the case, you can just manually control the focus ring with your left hand. I’ve been in this situation before on many occasions, whether for promotional gigs or weddings. Was he using autofocus or not? Chances are that he was. Cameras are far more reliable at autofocusing correctly and quickly than us in just about all types of properly lite environments. Did he ever manually take over the focus and zoom while making his toss? It’s completely possible for him to have if he felt that he needed to. He’s experienced enough to have known how to and for sure while making his toss, he was constantly making sure everything still looked well composed through the lens.
