I remember listening to his situation in interviews. Says he doesn't have a car and uses public transit to go everywhere. Says he has an apartment in a good location, where he can walk anywhere within 10-15 minutes. Didn't seem too obsessed with money, although I'm curious how much of that is under his control. Also remember reading that a group of friends did a fundraiser for him in the late 90s so he could get surgery. But he's been clean since the late 80s and I don't recall any ongoing lawsuits. The Circle Jerks suit with Hetson seemed like it didn't go anywhere and Morris didn't want to pursue it.`

With all the work he has done over the years, all of the touring; he should be be, at the least, comfortable. There is a recent OFF! underground video floating around on KZbin where he and Dimitry Coats are talking about being high on some pills on stage, but even if that's true..I don't see him being _that_ broke or as broke as he seems, but who knows..? If he is broke, that's sad. Perhaps he is just overly frugal?
