I just installed it in a 2018 Tacoma, rotation of the vent isn't possible with this mount. I can still close the vent 98% of the way and open it fully. Very high quality mount. I will be installing 2 more on my 2nd gens. I believe the 2 gen vents will be able to fully fuction.

Are you able to close the vent after its installed. Can you adapt a scotty mount extension on it to make it a little longer.

Is the phone holder part supposed to have a spring? It’s really hard to get the phone out without it coming off the vent.
